Christians, laziness is a detrimental, idle, opportunistic temptation of the enemy. You cannot be fit if you do not practice fitness. You cannot be prayerful if you do not pray, you cannot be spiritual if you do not exercise your spirit, you cannot be wise if you do not seek wisdom, and you cannot know God if you do not know His Word. Laziness and lust are two sides of the same coin; arrogance and worthlessness, pride and shame, entitled and poor, sluggard and burden. Do not let yourself stay stuck in the routine of your flesh, but adopt the discipline of Christ. Christ fasted, and prayed, and spent quiet time, and wept, and revised the scriptures both in Spirit and action. He did not sit down or lie down until He was assured He had done the will of the Father for the hour, the day, and the time to come. Let us flee youthful lusts and laziness, and supplicate and pray without ceasing for His strength, His grace, His discipline - because it is by His power through the will (the choice) He has given us, that we are able to work and harvest and run! The purpose of such physical labor be for the Glory of Him.
Amen!
