I could make a mini essay about their little costa del sol arcade "date"
The two employees that handed cloud the ticket knew what they were doing, right? Barret walked past them a few minutes earlier and they gave him a ticket too. I like to think they matched the two up on purpose.
The whole interaction felt like the perfect set up for a cute little fic aagh
Also ,this might just be me, but the barret version of the arcade shooting game felt more engaged. He genuinely sounds invested, and if you do well, you believe his affirmations because he's an expert at it.
Whereas for aerith, cloud and her are literally playing pretend for the side quest. I know she isn't being fake, but it felt a little lame by comparison. I've got small gripes with that aerith side quest anyway. :P
