I owe a lot of how I eat and how I view food to Carrie. I had been vegan/vegetarian for a long time but still didn’t really eat healthy. When I learned about how food heals and how turmeric and other natural remedies actually healed my body I was resistant. When I was a kid my parents would tell me “If you’re honest with me you won’t be punished” I’d be honest and they’d beat my ass. Pretty badly sometimes. When I became a father I made myself a promise. With my kids I would say what I mean, and mean what I say. I believe they’re extremely honest with me. They roll with shit, didn’t really throw fits, and are kind people. It’s not all me, I lost my shit a fair amount of times, but always apologized when I was wrong. They’re just great humans, and I kept my word.
