Do you feel empty inside? Like you’re in in pain and you can’t put a finger on the source, but you’re numb at the same time? The months, weeks and days pass by while you keep hoping to feel something? Sometimes we are running so fast in life, trying to get ahead in every single path that we forget to hear the beat of our heart and the rhythm of our breaths – in short, we forget to be mindful of Allah because we have no time to ponder or reflect.  You may feel far away from Him, but remember that Allah Himself is never far away from us. Allah is closer than our jugular veins. Some people say that they feel distant from Allah when they’ve missed the daily adhkaar. For some, prayer could be the answer. For some, Quran could be one. So whatever it is that makes you feel that connection, do it. Even if you don’t feel like it. Even if you don’t have time for it. Just do it. Set alarms, plan, get an accountability partner, but do it. It may be tiring, but keep doing it. It is a part of living and for now you must live. You may desperately want someone to save you, yet you’re the only one who can save yourself. You can use the help of family, of friends, but only you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and carry the hope to reach it one day. Allah gives me a life, so i have many reason to treat every person in my life (mamah, alin, teteh, dede, keluarga, sahabat, adik-adik) with compassion and kindness, and off course with hope . special, i just wanna love you (i don't know who you are for now) for being uniquely flawed and evolving, just like myself. Our lives are a continuous succession of God’s gifts. Many people, due to their outlook on life or their circumstances, fail to see that they are receiving Allah’s bounty. Be ever grateful to Allah for everything that you possess including your wealth, health, status, intellectual abilities and life. Allah says: "Is, then, He Who creates comparable to any that cannot create? Will you not, then, take heed? For should you try to count Allah's blessings, you could never compute them" (An-Nahl 16:17-19). Allah has bestowed countless blessings upon us. He has endowed us with the gifts of sight and hearing, the intellect, health, wealth and family. He has even subjected everything in the universe for us: the sun, the moon, the heavens and the earth, and many countless things, as the Qur’an states, “If you tried to number Allah’s blessings, you could never count them.” (Surah Al-Maa’idah, 16:18) Allah has told us that His pleasure may be attained through gratitude. " If you are grateful, He is pleased with you..." (Az-Zumar 39:7).  The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah is pleased with His servant if, when he eats something, he thanks Allah for it, and when he drinks something, he thanks Allah for it" (Muslim). However, all these blessings will cease to exist when our short worldly life comes to an end. When we are going through a test or a painful experience – a financial hardship, the loss of a loved one, an illness or a scary diagnosis – we find ourselves closer to Allah in those times. And in times of relative ease or blessings we find ourselves drifting away from Allah. Our duas and prayers may not have the same intensity, our salah may not have the same khushoo and concentration, our tongues may not be as active in zikr and remembrance of Allah, and our hearts may not be as humbled before their Creator in times of ease as they are in times of hardship. Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) describes this attitude in the Quran: “And when we bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself, but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication.” (Quran 41:51)  It is true that this is the natural state of the human heart. Our Imaan or faith ebbs and flows, we experience highs and lows. One of the purposes of tests and hardships is to draw us closer to our Lord and remind us of the reality of this life. But noticing this trend in our own lives is a powerful eye-opener that can serve to be a life-changing experience, if we only allow it to be.  How we approach hardships and tests in our lives can make or break our akhirah (Hereafter), but at the same time, how we approach the ease and blessings Allah grants us can also chart the course for our dunya and our akhirah.  Ask Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to increase you in the ease and the blessings. Sometimes we feel hesitant to make dua for more when we are already happy with what we have. We are not sure whether we will live until tomorrow to be able to do something good. Even if we live till tomorrow, are we certain that there won't be any obstacles in carrying out that action. Why putt off something good to an abyss of uncertainty? If we procrastinate and waste time today, what will motivate us to spend time productively tomorrow? We all feel bad "wasting" time. We realize time spent on trivial things makes us lazy and unproductive. However, many of us fail to visualize the long-term consequences of killing time on futile matters, both in this world and the world that awaits us. Whatever time passes by will not return and cannot be replaced. We will be asked about our youth and life on the Day of Judgment, both of which are related to time. The Prophet, peace be upon him, warned us, "Man shall not be let go or discharged on the Day of Judgement until he has been questioned about FOUR things: 1- with regard to his Life: how did he spend it? 2- with regard to his Youth: in what ways did he expend it? 3- with regard to his Wealth: where did he earn it from and what did he spend it on? 4- with regard to his Knowledge: what use did he put it to?" (Al-Bazzar and At-Tabarani) A scholar once stated, "One of the many signs that one is disliked by Allah is the wasting of his or her time." Allah allows a person who is neglectful of His message to be involved in activities that are worthless. "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you." [Hadith Qudsi] Allah says in the Quran: {O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!  Despair not of the Mercy of God: verily, God forgives all sins. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.} (39:53) Allah is All-Forgiving All Merciful, He knows our weakness and He knows our shortcomings. He knows what we do. He hears our sincere repentance and He forgives before being begged for forgiveness. Here, we cite some acts that wipe sins. Can you imagine what it would be like to have your mistakes and shortcomings corrected and shaped with the guiding hand of the Prophet? Would he be gentle, or firm, and what priorities would he consider? What would it feel like to have his attention, and to be looked upon with eyes overwhelmed with mercy? If we adopt just some of his amazing techniques in mending the mistakes of people, we will become better teachers and better callers to Allah. "And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds." (Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:107) Mercy is the keyword here. It is the spirit of Islam and the core of the message. That’s no strange since its originator is Allah, the Compassionate, the Most Merciful. He says in the Qur’an: {My mercy encompasses all things.} (Al-A`raf 7:156) The Messenger chosen by the Most Merciful to deliver the message of mercy set a great example in this regard. His life reflected this sublime value. In his sayings, actions and dealings, he reflected the highest level of mercy that a human being could ever reach. In this collection, we list a number of sayings, testimonials, stories and situations that show the significance as well as the application of this value. “All human beings make mistakes often. The best of those who make mistakes often are those who repent [to Allah].” (At-Tirmidhi) When correcting mistakes, we must be respectful and sensitive to people’s sense of dignity. There is no room for mocking or belittling.
