Dawson, was probably my least favorite of the seven, but I didn’t hate him nearly as much as I was expecting to? He had his moments as it went, but my Dawson hate peaked in S1, tbh. And a bit in early S2. The way he treated Jen when he found out she wasn’t a virgin was so gross omw. He annoyed me sometimes, but other times I was amused by him and other times I was just indifferent. It was fun to play up hating him though, so.

Pacey, I liked. He was entertaining and ~complex and his growth and arc over the series was nice to see. He fucked up a lot, but I always liked the way it was handled and I liked that while he tended to always end up taking a couple steps back, for the most part, the growth he experienced tended to stick and he never totally regressed or forgot the ~lessons he learned. I especially enjoyed his S2/3 and S5 stuff.

Joey, I always liked her, but she was frustrating earlier on and sometimes annoying. But I liked her more as the series went on and I really enjoyed seeing her loosen up in the college years and have some fun and just had more comedic stuff to do. And I liked that she basically became the main character in the last season lol. Could’ve done without her professor and Eddie arcs, though. I also totally get why some people find her to be a Mary Sue and unlikable, but I liked her.

Jen, was my favorite from the start. She was a mess for a lot of S2 and I still don’t really know what was going on there, but every other season she was great. She was especially adorable in the last two seasons. I feel like Michelle Williams just stopped caring and did what she wanted with Jen and made her more comedic than angsty. She deserved so much better than all the love interests they gave her. And I wish she didn’t die (I already knew she did), but it made her the center of attention in the finale, so that was nice.

Jack, I don’t really have a strong opinion on? I liked him and enjoyed a lot of his scenes, but I don’t know, I don’t have a lot of thoughts on him. I liked his coming out arc and thought the way they explored his sexuality and dating life was interesting, but I think I liked him best in his moments of friendship with the other characters?

Andie, she was my favorite going in. I’d seen some random episodes before and for whatever reason, she was always my favorite. And I’m bitter she left!! I don’t know if it was the actress’s call or what, but I really missed her :( And I’m still bitter about the character assassination in early S3, though I had it in my head that it was a lot worse and a lot longer than it actually was, so whatever. I’m glad she got to come back for the finale (even if her scenes were cut), but I feel like Pacey is the Joey to her Pacey, and while Pacey got his Joey, she never will and that makes me sad for her. She looked hot in the finale though, and I was always so glad to see the show acknowledge how much she did for Pacey’s growth, and they didn’t just try to act like it was all Joey later on like some shows do, to sell their ship.

Audrey, she was fun and funny and had some great insight and reactions to the group as an outsider. It was nice to see them welcoming another person into the group to ~spice things up a bit. Not sure how I felt about her angsty S6 stuff, but overall, I enjoyed her. Weird she was completely left out of the finale. I get not having her there for a huge role, as it would ruin the high school nostalgia vibe, but surely she could’ve had a small role like Andie, as someone that was there for two seasons.
