Nightmare #01
Original Art
Art by Bill Everett
Skywald Publications (1970)
From Heritage Auctions...
This one-page pin-up was not only published in this issue, it was also awarded as a prize from Skywald to a reader in 1972! But the story doesn't end there... in 1992, super-fan Roger Hill decided to track down the winner and attempt to buy the original art. It's a story of one fan's tenacity, and Hill recounted it in his contribution to CFA-APA #26 in April of 1992. The reverse side of the frame has a handwritten note from Roger Hill, and a copy of his submission to CFA-APA #26.
