probably a crackship, but skizz and mumbo
thoughts?
Mumbo needs the constant positive reinforcement, and boy does Skizz know how to give it.
This Battle is Bigger Than One-on-one
Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, is a big night for The Quinn Spinn.
It’s a big night because Ronnie Cremer, Taylor Swift’s first guitar teacher, came on the show to set the record straight about everything that has been in the news over the past few weeks. It’s a big night, because Ronnie, Skumbo and I have the opportunity to be on the frontlines of the music industry battle.
Ronnie’s dispute with Taylor is a microcosm of the battle between hard-working, independent artists and the music industry machine. In a lot of ways, it’s easier than ever to be noticed. With that being said, there is more music out there than ever, and the glass ceiling put in place between the haves and the have-nots is as apparent as ever.
In my estimation, it’s time to do something about it, and to provide some transparency for all those trying with everything they have to make it - even if they're up against those who had their dreams ready-made.
Ultimately, I’d love to change the face of the game as soon as possible. I don’t know how possible that is to do from one episode or interview. We can, however, get people thinking tonight.
We can take a stand for all independent art – be it music, film, radio or any other kind – and be leaders in the battle for transparency and equal opportunity for all musicians, from all walks of life. That’s what we’ve stood for since Episode #1, and that’s the battle we will continue to fight.
Listen tonight with an open mind, and allow us to educate you the world of music – warts and all.
See you in a half hour on WROM Radio!
