skull at first doenst take much interest in v when they first meet, but as time went on and as v got more defensive of his mother base and his soldiers, skull felt the urge to push further, almost to break v down to make him accept and either join XOF or to allow skull to make decisions.
it starts out small, skull saying things like “just imagine how strong mother base would be with us leading it” and him calling v’s soldiers—even kaz at one point—weak and pathetic. soon it starts getting worse and worse to the point where v starts doubting himself, doubting his decisions. skull takes advantage of that weakness and begins to feed v lies.
lies like how bb joined XOF and got so much stronger even though they both know its a lie. skull on a visit intended to bring v back to XOF’s base again to show him how strong and stable it was. it was filled with soldiers living in fear for they know whatll happen if they disobey skull. v starts to wonder if he really should join XOF. maybe itll lead to something bigger than mb could ever be?
well, it worked. partially. v eventually gave into skulls advances and was treated rather brutually. co-commanders are expected to be obedient, just like how bb thinks. v misses bb but he knows he cant go back. after all, bb hardly likes when his playthings are used like that.
thats my thought process for the ship so far. manipulation is a key part like in bbv.

Damn that phantom for being so easy to manipulate, he's supposed to be Big Boss but he can't see when the enemy is dangling a carrot over his head from a few feet away. Big Boss would've known it was a trick all along. Never trust the enemy, no matter how much they have sweet talked you. Hell, this is how they got Zero, and while Boss agrees that zero can go burn in hell, it's a great feat in everything to have reached him like that.
Unlike with Boss, Skull Face isn't afraid of Killing V, he's only good as long as he's useful, it's a miracle he makes it out alive each day with his injuries. If it's not the man himself using V it's the pent up staff, taking all their problems out on V, beating up, using him, abusing the fuck out of him, not that different from what skull face already does, in fact one of V's common punishment is just that, he gets thrown to the staff to be torn apart.
V’s time on XOF would be nothing less than humiliating. Everyday he's reminded of what a big great figure he is supposed to be, and now's fallen to the hands of the enemy. Maybe they wouldn't even allow him to wear clothes on base so they can touch him 24/7, and when their boss is angry they bring him to his office, watch the door slam shut and listen to V’s shrieks and cry's, followed by the sound of him choking on skull face’s cock.
