What Flavor Is Break Time (Nemu)
Single Effect:Â Skill Seal [35%] (All / 1 Turn)
MLB Effect:Â Skill Seal [37.5%] (All / 1 Turn)
Effect Definitions:
Skill Seal is a Status Ailment that will cause the afflicted target to be unable to use Active skills, such as memoria or Spirit Enhancement Actives. Note that the target is still able to attack, and that this will also not prevent Magia/Doppels. Skill Seal can stack. You can compare Skill Seal to the Status Ailments Charm, Stun, and Bind which will prevent the target from taking any action at all, including attacks.Â
TLDR: âWhat Flavor Is Break Time (Nemu)â should be kept as it is the only active memoria in the game to give Skill Seal-- but it also sucks.Â
Review: âWhat Flavor Is Break Time (Nemu)â is an annoying memoria because its chance of going off is very low, but itâs also the only source of active Skill Seal in the game, making it a memoria youâll want to keep. In fact, its chance of working is only 2.5% higher than some passive memoria in the game (such as Chisatoâs memoria, âThe Witch, the Wolf, and the Villagerâ).
With this in mind, why ever use this memoria? Especially when there are memoria that can stop an enemy from attacking, not just using their skills, such as âThe Year of the Ox Is My Tasty Yearâ with a Stun chance, or âAn Inhabitant from Another Worldâ with a Charm chance?
Well, some enemies are immune to Charms, Stuns, and Binds, but not Skill Seal. Others, like some Kimochis, can use problematic Skills that will debuff your team, prevent your own team from using Skills, or interfere with your strategies. In this case, being able to Skill Seal the enemy is valuable.
But again, âWhat Flavor Is Break Time (Nemu)â is still disappointedly low. There are ways to increase your odds of forcing it to go off. Memoria that give Status Ailment Resistance Down will increase the chance of âWhat Flavor Is Break Time (Nemu)â working, though it does mean youâre wasting a second active memoria slot to make this one single memoria work.
Another method is to restart the game, popping you back to the latest round. Since this memoria has less than half a chance of working, you might need to restart a few times to ensure it does in fact affect the enemy.
Overall, even Whales should consider saving this, probably. But the instant a new, better memoria is made that has a higher chance, you can use this as enhancement fodder.
