I made a 20 page mini comic about one of my favorite childhood pasttimes: ROLLER SKATING! Going to the roller rink was always a blast, and I wanted to create something that captured that, in a way. I’m printing it this week for a local show, but after that I’ll probably put a pdf on gumroad or something similar. So keep a lookout!

the one thing hyunsu was known for in the kingdom of clovers, besides the prince's ego, was his agility. between years of ballroom dancing and swordsmanship, keeping himself light on his feet became at second nature to him. those who weren’t so caught up fuming over his big ego would say that this talent made the prince ten times more charming.
he was always so well-kept, never clumsy or lazy with his posture. this image, however, was soon to be tarnished by none other than hyunsu himself.
hyunsu was slipping through the knight’s fingers— literally. every time hyunsu would try to push himself off the slippery ice to build momentum, he was met with the painful feeling of the cold solid ground kicking his ass. why couldn't he do this properly? hyunsu was the one to suggest ice skating in the first place, although, he wasn't expecting it to be so hard. the whole situation was a bit embarrassing, to be honest. this was supposed to be a cute moment where yunseo would almost slip and hyunsu would swoop in and save him, but no, he was the fool with a hurt ego and a bruised ass.
so much for playing hero, hyunsu, now you look like a complete dumbass.
hyunsu had no other choice but to pout and look up at the knight as he picked himself up for the third time. "i don't think this ice is good." the prince whined, "it's so slippery i can't even skate on it." his cheeks grew red as he watched others fly by them. it wasn't fair. why couldn't he at least glide on the ice without feeling his ankles give up on him? part of him felt a bit guilty for making the knight come all this way just to watch him fall, and thus, the prince decided to take a deep breath and try once more. he could do this! ice skating was just like waltzing, there was a pattern to it. push off with your left, glide, push with your right. the prince went to hold yunseo's hand again, mentally preparing himself for the inevitable. and, with another deep exhale, he pushed himself off again. as the blades of his skates sailed across the thick ice, hyunsu's pout turned into a cheeky smile. "wait," hyunsu patted yunseo's chest in excitement, "i think i got it!"
just as he went to celebrate the small victory, he could feel his legs moving apart from each other. the panic began to set in and, almost immediately, the prince swung around to quickly grab the knight's waist as a way to anchor himself. if hyunsu wasn't wearing so many layers, he swore yunseo would have been able to feel his heartbeat through his chest. the prince refused to fall again, not in front of the knight at least. "i-..." hyunsu buried his face in yunseo's chest to hide his own embarrassment, "i'm just really cold right now, okay? don't laugh."
