i also liked how op mentioned the "it was never like this with the other person" bc it WAS like this with scrooge and that's what scares goldie SO much she's not ready to care about someone new it's so stressful what if she fucks it up again like she did with him??? she finally tricked herself into letting herself get close to maya because at least she doesn't have that kind of baggage with them so feels like she could, but what if she ends up ruining that somehow?
