Andrew Lloyd Webber could never ππ₯
Watching season 2 of "Torchwood"...
and the lead FINALLY reveals her job to her fiance.
I'm sitting here thinking 'This fucking lady would rather tell her fiance about world altering/mind blowing things, that could literally turn him crazy, instead of FESSING UP SHE CHEATED. HOLY SHIT. She's fucking awful.'
I still do not like her. Everyone is like "she empathetic" and I'm like "she lies to everyone about everything to get what she wants TILL THIS EPISODE. And she's still hasn't told him she cheated on him. A lot."
I just feel like this show is kinda semi toxic masculinity and definitely sexist. Not only in making the lead female come off as a liar, but, almost like the sitcom husband who lies all the time. It's a female written like a stereotypical dude in a lot of ways. It's...weird. But...honestly, different. Maybe there's someone as awful as her in the real world lol Still hate the fucking doctor more. Maybe cuz the actor, himself, looks and sounds annoying. He's like the air horn for the eyes.
Sitcom dads
You where can I find these sitcoms dads? Like where can I get me a Phil Dumfy, A Louis Huang? Jimmy DeMayo? Ben Wyatt? Where!
The current poster child for the imbecile dad is Phil Dunphy of the TV show Modern Family. While the award-winning show has been praised for taking a fresh approach to family dynamics, that unfortunately doesn't seem to extend to the "tired, naggy wife and idiot husband" trope. From his cringe-worthy attempts at humor to his creepy advances on his own (step)mother-in-law, Phil is a clueless and, at times, tactless lout, and that somehow is supposed to come off as endearing? While I'm sure there are many out there who would disagree, given the popularity of the character, men acting like dolts doesn't come off as charming as much as it does pathetic.
