testing a sword box illusion (recording with phone) on his night off when his lab triggers interdimensional anomaly- his swords are dull and retractable in his universe, not the case in others

body found inside box with all swords retracted and no visible wounds, pool of blood outside

taken to be autopsied, autopsy incisions are cut and stitched up before vanishing as quin wakes up

leaves the morgue clearly alive with some amnesia, takes now-dead phone while odd shit continues to happen (normal alarming thoughts like “bugs are on me” seem to result in the thoughts materializing)

phone is finally charged, quin watches video depicting his death; while he grows more horrified the autopsy scars reappear

decides to attempt to live life as normally as possible (no revenge against his lab, he really needs the job)

first public appearance: while on bus on bridge over water accidentally thinks about cables snapping and bridge collapsing, which makes the event happen

spiderman shows up but is distracted and supremely unhelpful, finally quin tries to fix the mess on his own creating a “hero” alter ego with infinity dodecahedron in place of a face and flashy purple/green eye motifs, static due to molecular instability

helps save the day and when asked “what’s your name mysterious stranger”: “mysterio” “for real” “yeah”

quin’s abilities: hammerspace, ability to transmutate and break own model, with enough concentration illusions strong enough to become legitimate (but can backfire on him in case of persistent distressing thoughts)
