There you go.
In Donâs defense, he doesnât see his girlfriend as selfish, and assumes sheâd do what he would think is the right thing to do, i.e. help out. In Katrinaâs defense, she works from home, and when someone works from home it is often assumed that they have time for everything when that is not true.Â

Hate to break it to you, oh-namesake-of-mine, but saving people's lives IS more important than making dresses. Sure, someone else volunteering your time is really crappy and I can understand being peeved about it, but let's be real here about that, at least. A person will survive if they don't have a new dress for a party and your reputation won't be destroyed by having to back out for a family emergency. A person needing surgery might not survive, though.
Absolutely fair. She still gets to be pissed about Don treating her time as worthless  though :P

...since clearly others donât. But stories would be boring, wouldnât they, if they only ever contained couples that were right for each other?

It's impulsive, but they both seem the sort. Doesn't mean it's a good idea, but it also doesn't instantly mean it's a BAD idea...

Hah. Modest. I don't think any of his past relationships were the kind you would cheat on, tbh :p
Oh I was hoping someone would comment something like this, because this kind of thinking always bugged me. We all know that occasionally people will cheat. Not everyone does, and people who cheat are rarely excused no matter how hard they try. And what always really annoyed me was this attitude in the person they cheated with, that somehow, they wouldnât cheat on them. As if they were special.Â
And letâs say it with me, ladies: We do not have magical vaginas.Â
There are no magical vaginas capable of keeping a guy where others failed. Cheating is the choice of the cheater, not the cause of a fault in the person they cheated on. Don never cheated with Katrina, but she knows full well he hasnât managed to be in an exclusive relationship ever, and for her to sort of assume that he would now that heâs with her is really insulting to all the other women he has been with. Sorry, rant over. I made her say what she said so that I could say this :P
holleyberry replied to your post âGo on.â âI want to give you a choice. And I will be fine with...â
You can totally tell me I'm wrong, but if she's having doubts about being faithful it seems a bit manipulative for her to put it on him to decide. And to limit the talk about it to only now. Because like she said, things could change, for both of them.
pleasant-lives replied to your post âGo on.â âI want to give you a choice. And I will be fine with...â
To what Holley said... in my experience, sometimes people who are insecure and doubtful about others... it's because they doubt themselves too in the same aspect
Indeed. She is doing herself a disservice by letting him make the choice instead of talking about it, but like I said above, she doesnât really think heâd need anyone other than her. By making the choice his, she wouldâve been free to seek alternatives herself, and he would have no cause to be angry, since he decided. And Don is, similarly, doing himself a disservice by only asking himself if he can be faithful, and not wondering about her...
dramallamadingdang replied to your post âGo on.â âI want to give you a choice. And I will be fine with...â
Soooo....He gets an ultimatum of sorts, but she doesn't? That hardly seems fair... But then, she is rather self-centered, isn't she? But then, he seems to be, too. Like attracts like, but like doesn't always STAY attracted to like...
...which yes, makes them very much alike. Whether this will be the cause of disaster or if theyâll live a happy married life - well, youâll just have to find out, wonât you?
A BIG Thank you to everyone who commented, liked, and reblogged, it means a lot to me!

I always put it in the lowest corner! Sometimes that's under water but the lower the better. And turning the box until it looks like what you want it to. Too high and the horizon kinda oppressively looms over the land. D:
simsofsimcity replied to your post âHello! I hope you don't mind me asking, but how (where in the...â
i've found you can turn the little box too so you can put it in the lowest corner
Yeah, I probably didnât word all that very well. I probably shouldnât be doing this answering inbox stuff when Iâm practically falling asleep at the computer desk. :)Â
But yeah, you can spin the box around so that the sky sits over the neighborhood properly, but only one direction will work for each corner of the terrain. Most of the terrains I have/use seem to be high on two corners and underwater on the the other two. (I definitely seem to have a preference for peninsulas with terrain thatâs higher in the distance, and I like to build lots on water, likely because where I consider to be âhomeâ is in the desert in a landlocked state, so...yeah.) So, I usually end up having to modify a bit of the terrain to sit the box on so that itâs neither too high nor too low. I generally pick the higher corners because itâs easier to see what Iâm doing than trying to alter underwater terrain. :)
Three for @nimitwinklesims, one for @simsofsimcity. :)
But also, for the sky placement anon who re-asked me: Iâm glad you got it figured out. :) Have fun, and if you have any further questions, feel free to give me a yell. :)
nimitwinklesims replied to your post âHey, I'm the anon that suggested the fitness4all mod again... Just...â
Isn't there a mod object that makes unselectables hungry? The hungernator or something like that? Would that help?
That would probably help a little bit, although from what Iâve seen, non-playable Sims on restaurant lots will often eat multiple times, so if they go back for seconds or thirds, their fitness will be taking a hit. On the flip side, I donât want them to leave owned restaurants for being too hungry, since it takes customer Sims a while to decide whether or not theyâre going to eat, especially in low level restaurants. *eye roll* Itâs hard enough to get restaurants leveled up without potential patrons leaving because theyâre too hungry to wait to decide whether or not to eat. :) So, itâs all something to experiment with, see if itâs compatible with how I play my game.
nimitwinklesims replied to your post âsimsofsimcity replied to your post âfuzzyspork replied to your post...â
That gets me thinking, however, once you release a water horizon+sky that fits my style I might make Criquette's water part transparent so the tweaked water shines through instead... The thing is though, I really like to take pics from a high angle, so I need some kind of horizon to bridge the gap under your skies. :)
Iâm afraid a water+sky horizon might not happen, though. Getting painted realistic-ish water to look good alongside rendered water is...tricky. :) Especially when it comes to neighborhood water affected by @an-elegant-simblrâs Castaway shaders. Or, conversely, unmodded neighborhood water when viewed from a lot. I can make unmodded water in neighborhood view look OK, but when that same horizon is viewed from on a lot? Yeah, not so good. Iâm working on it, but...so far itâs not looking good, overall. :(Â
THAT said...Yeah, I want to put the horizon-only skies Iâve already made/shared onto Cheesecakeâs horizon mesh, too. That should eliminate any gaps with higher camera angles. I think. If it works, thoseâll probably be included with Part 2, along with the animated/semi-transparent skies. Whichâll probably be released around the end of this week. Or so. :)
nimitwinklesims replied to your post âsimsofsimcity replied to your post âfuzzyspork replied to your post...â
At least it helps to have the water-horizon and the sky on the same object and you can tweak them to fit together! I tried out all of your skies with Criquette's half-water half-mountain horizon and while glorious for the most part, the watet-horizon of course stayed the same blue for all of them... :P To make separate horizons for each would be a pain. But if it's integrated... :)
Iâm almost thinking that if I canât do a pretty water horizon, maybe I should just make a simple hazy, grayish band that can be layered with any already-existing sky, to make a better-looking water/sky interface. But now that you mention it, I should probably take a look at Criquetteâs objects (I donât have them) to see what the texture resolution is, to see if itâs feasible to transfer them to the bigger meshes. Perhaps separating out the elements -- so that they could be layered individually, for instance -- would be possible.Â
simsofsimcity replied to your post âsimsofsimcity replied to your post âfuzzyspork replied to your post...â
okay, I think I understand. I'm really really new to using the horizons and sky mods, so, it's been a bit of a struggle trying to figure out how to use them
Yeah, it can definitely be a bit overwhelming at first! Let me know if I can be of any more help. :)
