Last time, the Miller family was the poorest family of their class until Jeffrey married Richard Delabere who brought in some much needed cash and solved their debt.
This time, they pulled 10 of pentacles which means a surprise sum of money. A distant relative of Jeffrey's late wife learnt about her passing, and decided to leave the family 8.000 (I rolled a d10) in their will.
They also rolled 300 spent on decoration, which again I used for the kitchen, and 7 pieces of furniture that I honestly don't remember how I spent except I think I bought some bedside tables for the master bedroom.
Richard starts off strong by befriending Terrence Pelehan, always a good contact to have in your back pocket.
The newlyweds also make sure to get some time for themselves in private.
The strawberries were planted late, so while they can totally afford the fine if they don't meet their quota, Jeff makes sure to harvest as much berries as he can this season, just in case.
Adelia invites her childhood friend Arthur Brown over. They unfortunately only have one bolt together though.
But I sent them on a date anyway and it went pretty well, and they have matching get steady wants, but honestly, one bolt is not really enough for me so we'll hold off until we get to Arthur's round next time to see if there are better options for either of them. Arthur wouldn't be a great match for Adelia, but she'd be an awesome one for him.
Richard is an awesome stepfather and spends time with his stepkids whenever he gets a chance. Family sims are good that way.
Jeffrey and Adelia both needed some body skills so I sent them to the mines. You know, when I built this lot, I didn't think it was going to be a workout lot, but there we are.
Twins Walter and Georgiana spend a lot of time together and take full advantage of the chess set the family bought when Richard moved in.
Oh no! I knew this was a risk with these grain fields, but damn, two being flooded in one day! And I didn't remember when I last saved either, or I would have reloaded the lot. That's a big chunk out of their autumn harvest gone that is!
Other things are growing more fruitfully and Jeffrey is expecting their child. I did want Richard to have spawn, but I hope they'll be happy with just one kid, since Jeff already had three.
The pregnancy is smooth and quick and soon baby Jaylene is born.
I judged that Jeffrey had harvested enough berries and veg, as well as some miscellanous stuff that they could open their farm store. Elizabeth McCleary bought a crate of tomatoes and the shop did well that day, even if it was only open once.
And then it was birthday time! Walter become a popularity sim in bad clothing.
And Georgiana became a romance sim in even worse clothes. But I took care of that as soon as I could.
I sent the twins to the logging log to meet some teenagers. Georgiana met no one, but Walter ran into a girl that in the end he had no chemistry with.
Dickie is happy to have a baby in the house, even if little Jaylene keeps smelling and screaming a lot.
And the teenagers all play around a lot when they're not busy with chores.

The tax/rent was 450, they met their quota with the help of the berry baskets.
And when all was said and done, they could put 20.000 into savings, that with interest is now worth 28.718 which is pretty awesome for a farming family. None of the Miller children will have to go into servitude, that's for sure.
And that was the last of the farm class families, which means it's time to visit the Merchants next!

I'm very happy we had no chimes, but one of the advantages of not being allowed to work on your main craft this season is that Hannes and James got some more time together.
Oh oh oh oh, it's time!
It's one puppy! Her name is Cloud. Cloud Weaver. That's cute until she's sold and becomes something else I guess.
Grady grabs her right away. Finally a pupper small enough for him to lift!

Meredith is excited for a puppy too, but has already directed Ellie and Claw to make more. One puppy does not make a dog breeding business!
She also helps her dad out with the garden. The crops for this season is cucumbers.
"I'm sorry Mrs Ellsworth, but we're not currently selling any fabric."
"Well, when will you? I have children to dress to impress."
"Oh, speaking of children, we really do like that son of yours around here."
Clarity might have higher expectations for Sven, because she left right after this.
Grady grew into a child! He's cute and again the game gifted me with clothes I don't have to change!
He helps out with the dogs and makes friend with Cloud.
Poor Hannes. I keep trying to let him do things to raise his aspiration, but he keeps failing at it. We'll try birdwatching next time, Sweetie.

That's the end of the season. I had a lot of fun and there was so much to take pictures of, from puppies to teen romances, puppies, and cuteness with the dogs.
They paid their tax and rent of 400 and managed the fine of 500 for not meeting their quota, and even had a little leftover. Not enough to reduce their debt though, which has now grown to 4.494 simoleons. Maybe next time.
I had such fun playing the Weaver family this time, probably because there were no twin toddlers.
The Weavers pulled 8 of cups, which means they weren't allowed to spend time on their main product this round. Their main product is silk fabric. They were allowed harvest and refill all passive steps, so harvesting, feeding the silkworms etc, but not allowed to use the cocoon boiler or the loom. This meant they had no chance of meeting their quota and their main job this round was getting enough money so they could pay the fine instead.
They rolled 150 simoleons spent on decorations (I gave them a wallpaper in their sitting room), and 6 pieces of furniture but they didn't have money for more than 2. Next time for sure though
Little Grady is growing and Hannes spends a lot of time taking care of him.
But he's also been given an easel, and has started to paint in his free time. This room is the one that got the wallpaper but I hadn't put it up when I took this picture.
Unable to spend time on his silk, James heads to the woods to cut some logs so they can make some more furniture. The first part of that plan worked fine, but I forgot we also needed nails and James is the only one with the skill to mine for iron and by then he'd used his designated resource lot trip already. Oh well.
Meredith managed to finish the training of the dog Claw, which means they're allowed to breed!
And we got chimes!
That same night, Meredith aged into a teenager. She rolled Family aspiration and likes black-haired athletic people of all genders who do not have beards.
She ran into Adelia Miller and they had one bolt, but we never got further than friendship. I'm also not keen on them having a future because they're both set to inherit their family farms, and that would be a hard choice for me to make.
Without being able to work on the silk, James opened their shop and did what most other families have done so far, which is to sell anything he could. Tor Ellsworth came by to buy water, for some reason, and this redhead I think is the reporter. The shop did okay actually, and earned around 500 simoleons every day it was open. We won't have saplings next season though, so James needs to start making a lot of fabric next season.
I sent Meredith to the square to see if she could find another teenager to flirt with and she has two bolts with Sven Ellsworth! That would be a great catch for her. She's not that great a catch for him, but he's been doing so much gardening that becoming a farmer seems suitable somehow. And he's such a sweet boy too.
The hay had dried and it was time for Hannes to bale it. They got a lot actually and without livestock to feed it to, James has started to sell it in the shop.
When she has free time, Meredith takes on the raising of her little brother. She loves him so much, it's so cute.
(I really need to get their house furnished and decorated, seriously)
"So, do you want to tell me about that boy?"
"I do, in fact, not."
"That's okay, but I heard you singing in the garden all day yesterday so I already like him. Whenever you're ready, sweetie."
Speaking of the boy, Sven came by one evening and they had their first date. It went really well and Meredith was happy. We'll see how Sven feels when we get to his household in about three or four families.

They also like making a mess :( I guess it's my fault for not directing someone to feed them but come on guys, that's just gross. We're gonna get cockroaches now!
The shop continued to go well, and Elizabeth McCleary bought some coal while Mariah Blackman bought a sapling she can't plant because she lives in an apartment.

And I'm cutting it here because I'm gonna run out of pictures. I took a loooot of pictures.
The Fisher family rolled 7 of pentacles this round which means they get to buy any work station or resource spawner they want. I went with a couple of tide pools since I think that would make sense for them and I hope Marianne might go into dying fabric eventually and for that she's gonna need to find snails.
They also rolled 7 imported pieces of furniture and they spent them on some living room furniture. Their rolled 350 simoleons on decorations were also well spent.
I actually really like their kitchen now :)
Their living room still needs some work though, like maybe something to do?
Marianne opened their little market stall this time around, and sold the things she and had her father had foraged.
Customers were not very impressed with her cashier skills. Come on, guys, that's a pregnant teenager, she does her best, okay?
Paul, it is not appropriate to do that in public, Liz is married! He still hasn't found anyone else he's attracted to, and it's starting to get on my nerves.
Marianne has managed to get silk cocoons. Only problem is, she has no idea how they become fabric because she's never been to school. She'll figure it out eventually though, and for now, they can sell the cocoons to a neighbour who is better informed.
Every member of the Fisher family has been born on the beach or at sea. This new one is no exception.
It's a boy! Marianne names him Philip and he's so cute she doesn't mind paying that fine for being an unwed mother.
She adapts to motherhood pretty quickly, even though her baby poops a lot.
But she's never so busy that she'll stay home. No, Marianne takes very chance she gets to go out and hang out with her friends, or make new ones.
Grandpa Paul is happy to fill in. He always wished him and his wife would have more children, but a grandchild is a good second best
They expand their market stall a little bit, and start to sell some of the fish he has caught, as well as the silk cocoons and a few other things. I'm very pleased by that because the fish crates are worth a lot.
Paul tries to meet a new love interest but still has no luck at all. Negative chemistry all around except with Elizabeth and the werewolves. This townie lady even started to argue with him after a simple greeting.
Marianne checks the tide pools every morning and has been having some luck at least. Muscles and oysters can be sold or stock the fridge and summer is approaching its end and food is about to become scarce soon.
Philip grows like a weed and is surrounded by people who love and adore him.
His other mother, Anne, even shows up for his birthday, but in my attempt to pause so I could take a good picture, I hit 3 speed so here's a picture of them all standing around. Trust me, they all cheered when the candles were blown out. Sigh. The kitchen is still lovely though <3

While grandpa initiated potty training. Philip is really cute!
So cute! He got a logic toy for his birthday because Paul has been visiting the Carpenters' and had a bunch of toy canoes in his inventory he could exchange for a skill toy. Logic is a good skill to build for these sims too, since pretty much no one has a chess set yet.
Anne stuck around to autonomously feed Philip. She just screams good BaCC spouse all over.
And Marianne might be a romance sim, but her wants panel is just full of Anne. According to my rules, Anne, as a parent of a playable has to become playable when she's and adult, so even if she won't stick around, she will be moving in next round when Marianne becomes an adult.
Marianne pays the bills on the last day. They've done pretty well this round, and have no problem paying their 350 tax and rent. They also paid off the last of their debt and have plenty of money left for next round that they might put into savings eventually.
And we're back with the Carpenters who had a rough time last round from only wanting one kid but ended up with three. Their house is super tiny and they have like no money.
Their tarot was The Lovers, so Michael will be trying to have an affair. They rolled 600 simoleons to spend on decorations and 10 pieces of furniture which they spent on beds for their kids and nicer kitchen counters.
Mother of the year started a fire while cooking and Father of the year dropped baby Letitia on the floor so he could run away and save himself.
It all ended up well though, except the bass with squash got severely burned.
Meaghan heads to a community lot giving Michael a chance to invite over the sim he is the most attracted to (other than his wife), and it was Saga the Werewolf. She brought along Philomena but I don't think we're going to try for a threesome.
After a few moments of flirting, Saga wasn't actually interested in anything physical with Michael at this time. But it still counts as cheating for Michael's memory, so I'll take it.
It's actually hard to carry on affairs when you have three kids to take care of.
Letitia grew into a toddler and is really cute.
Jude and Jafeth grew into children and somehow aged into appropriate clothing. It almost makes me want to dive into defaults.
The boys spend pretty much all their time together and they're both so goofy I had too much fun watching them to take too many pictures of the rest of the round.
But they managed to open the shop a couple of days and trying to earn some money. They're very poor at this point and the furniture Meaghan makes isn't earning them all that much.
Michael has collected enough iron and coal to be able to make some extra nails. Maybe next time Meaghan can make him a work bench so he can have a hobby.
Meaghan is deeply concerned about money. They managed to meet their quota of furniture and pay their tax and rent but once again there was no money leftover to put into savings. Meaghan knows that they're never going to be able to afford having their kids at home all the way to adulthood.

And we're back with my favourite lumberjacks and their foster son! Last time, Mary gave birth to baby Mordred while their ward Arthur worked hard to earn his keep and be useful. Andreas logged a bunch and is now pretty efficient at it.
Their tarot for this round was 8 of pentacles, so they all have to get at least one new skill point. They rolled a budget of 250 simoleons for decorative stuff which they spent all on their kitchen, and four pieces of imported furniture that they spent on bedside tables, a bed for Mordred when he grows up and a skill toy for him.
Arthur does his chores and his assigned homework like a good boy, but is still very concerned about what will happen to him when he gets older. While Andreas and Mary are very nice to him, they're not going to need him now that they have their own heir to take over the farm.
Mordred is adorable though and Mary enjoys being a mother much more now.
She also tends to her sunflowers. They're going to be harvested and processed into oil eventually, and she hopes that's going to give her something more to sell at their shop.
With a bunch of body skill points, Andreas can fell and buck three trees per day which actually gives him plenty of time to start saving up logs so they can do a trade of resources with the Smiths. He didn't quite get there this season, but maybe next?
They've also started planting more trees in their backyard (the mature giving tree is actually pretty expensive so they only got a few when I built their lot). This will eventually be useful for letting Andreas work from home at least one day per season, but the trees grow slowly.
On some days, Arthur joins Andreas in the woods. He picks branches and saplings while Andreas cuts down trees.
Some of those saplings Mary can now sell in their small and ridiculous shop that doesn't even have shelves, but shelves is hardly a priority for her. If it works, it works, and she's going to be selling her husband's lumber eventually anyway.
Arthur runs into Adelia Miller in the woods. They're friends from when she was a child, and I hope they might have chemistry when they're both teens because Adelia is going to inherit her family's farm and that will give Arthur a place to go.
I liked playing this family, they were pretty chill and they seem to like spending time together.
Mordred grew into a toddler and quickly got to work on earning his mandated one skill point for the season.
Mary got to work on teaching him everything he needs to know about life and learnt that taking care of toddlers actually isn't more fun when it's your own.
Arthur loves his foster brother though and was autonomously nice to him all the time. Arthur is such a nice boy, I just want good things for him!
Mary was able to keep the shop open several times this season but I don't know what this townie teen wants with the four buckets of coal she bought. Maybe she wants to make furniture for herself too?
On a rare day off from the woods when Melva went to the mines for some body points, Andreas split some wood
And carved it into some toys for his son and for sale. All extra income helps!
Child/Toddler interactions are so cute in this game oh my god. Arthur is one of Mordred's favourite people.
Pretty soon, it was time for Arthur's birthday! I forgot to take a good picture of him though, but he became a knowledge sim and is very handsome.
Mary and Andreas decided to celebrate bringing him up to teenhood by spending some time together in bed.
With chimes as a result. Damn, this dress doesn't have a preg morph, I just realized.
Arthur is still in charge of the vegetable garden now that he's a teenager.
But he also comes to the woods with Andreas. The deal is, he gets to keep one log for every two he chops down, and either sell them to someone or save up for a house.
I was very worried when this started happening because Andreas and Arthur were in the woods, and no one would be able to save Mary if she died, but everything went fine.
Baby Sheryl was born! I hope this is the last baby for them, but you never know with sims and ACR in a hood that hasn't unlocked birth control.

I pulled a tarot card for them and they got the Empress, but it was reversed, and I'm interpreting that as no one is allowed to use any item for the purpose of skilling this season. They're allowed items that DO raise skills, but not allowed to use them for that purpose. This was a real shame, because I had hoped to send Melva to the mines to raise her body skill enough so she could logging when given a chance, but oh well. There's always next time.
They also got to roll two die, one to see if they could spend any money on decoration without having made it themselves, and they were allowed 250 simoleons, which didn't get them much but their kitchen looks a little nicer now

Ridley picked up some saplings in the woods around the mine and planted them on their lot, hoping to eventually get his woodworking hobby started.
When he could, he also spent time on teaching Hefina to talk.

Melva opened the shop and sold some stuff she had foraged, and of course some of grandma's soup. We're still only on one medical emergency so she's not allowed to look for that job in medical yet.
Newlywed Richard Delabere-Miller showed some interest in the soup and I encouraged it because someone in the hood has the flu and it's starting to spread. Might as well be prepared, Dickie.
Ridley works hard in his forge. He's already met the quota for this season, but he'd like to make a deal with Andreas Cedar for a trade of resources, and for that he needs another 10 boxes of nails, and it might also be nice if the shop could sell some of his wares eventually.
But a family sim must take a break from work whenever adorable children wander by in search of a doting parent. I think Hefina is super cute.
All that hard work has made Ridley very strong!
Meanwhile, Oliver and Ramsey grew into toddlerhood and were every bit as cute as their sister.
Twins is hard work, and Oliver spends a lot of the season smelly because he kept going to bed before they could potty train him. Ramsey fared much better but I hope that isn't a precursor to their life to come.
Hefina eventually grew into an absolutely gorgeous child
And was immediately put in charge of the vegetable garden so her mom could catch a bit of a break
Which was much needed, because Melva is, of course, pregnant again. Meaghan Carpenter commiserates. Being pregnant sucks and children are expensive, but at least Meaghan got her nails for the season.
Pregnant, Melva took a walk to the logging lot with a log that her husband had managed to cut down outside the mine.
... and chopped it up into planks, so now he can make them some furniture when he has time to spare.
Her pregnancy is not going very well at all, and I remember how she died last time, so I hope she'll survive this one.
Ridley is naturally very concerned for his wife.
If only she showed the same concern for herself, but Melva gets up in the middle of the night to water the cucumbers, as you do. And with that, the season was over. They paid 425 in taxes and rent and weren't able to put anything towards their debt, which grew to 5.056 simoleons, but then, Melva was too busy with the kids to open the shop more than once.
This is just a PSA that should links begin to fail us eventually, I do have the UC version of this game we all love all saved in a .rar from where I last downloaded it when it was abandonware and I will share it in private with anyone I know or a friend of a friend etc.

It was one hell of a summer storm! The lighthouse keeper did their job of course, they always do (I don't have a lighthouse keeper, I have no idea how that would work out practically, but there's a light house and the light is on, so that presupposes the presence of a lighthouse keeper), but it wasn't enough and a trade ship went under.
The entire crew and almost all the passengers perished. Except two.
Mariah Blackman is now a widow, but isn't it lucky that her box of clothes and her money chest survived? She had all her life savings in there. Her son, Swithin, survived as well.
Or, impoverished con artist Mia Black realized where the ship was headed, got out of the bailiff's cuffs and went from room to room to pilfer everything she could find. She might have cut some throats on her way to the only lifeboat. Her son, well... he might wish his mother was a more honest woman, but he likes food on the table.
The Blackmans' are determined to start over and be frugal and hope that fortune will eventually favour them and that they can leave their past behind. Mariah will try to get a job when one is available, and Swithin hopes to make some new friends.
They're merchant class and have 60.000 to their (fake) name, and moved into a small apartment. I gave them the basics and then rolled to see how many upgrades they were allowed and also allowed them to buy some decorative stuff.
Their apartment is tiny and doesn't have a bathroom or proper parlor. But they hope to move somewhere bigger eventually and the outhouse in the garden will do.
I look forward to playing them actually, but they'll have to wait for their turn, which is at the very end of the Merchant class. And before that, we're going through the Farmer class!

The Smiths had three kids and Melva died but was saved by her husband Ridley. Their daughter Hefina grew into a child.
The Cedar family had a baby son by the end of the round while their ward, Arthur Brown grew into a child who was quickly used for child labour.
The Carpenters who actually wanted to only have one kid ended up with three and it was a lot of work.
In the Fisher family, Paul started sleeping with his friend Elizabeth McCleary, while teen Marianne got knocked up by her girlfriend
The Weaver family struggled with meeting their quote but eventually managed. James and Hannes had a baby boy while their daughter Meredith almost finished training the dogs for breeding.
In the Miller family, Jeffrey did a surprisingly good job raising two toddlers and a child all on his own while still managing his farm. He also got married to Richard who moved in and paid of the family's debt.
In the McCleary family, Liz ran her bookshop while keeping up her affair with Paul Fisher. She got pregnant by twins and remains unsure if they're Paul's or Gordon's. Octavian and Cedric were still cute. Evan met Ellen Hamsterley and married her and the two moved out. The dogs finished their training and we had chimes before the season ended.
The Ellsworths got to work in their flower shop and restoring their reputation in the neighbourhood. They had a baby daughter and their boys all got older. Devin got a girlfriend while Sven is friends with Adria Ledford. Johan turned out to be good with plants which is good for him because he might need to become a farmer if the family can't earn more money.
Terrence Pelehan birthed an alien daughter and named her Symphony while also getting engaged to Alice whose last name I don't remember. His ward Adria Ledford poured her loneliness into her art, and eventually grew into a teen. The servants Jane Cedar and Ogden Miller started an affair that resulted in a pregnancy so they got married. Housekeeper Emma Keane didn't do much.
The werewolves fucked a lot and ran their very unprofitable shop.
Starting from round 2, I'll be pulling some cards as a makeshift ROS. I'll pull a card from The Quiet Year for the entire town and then a tarot card for each household at the beginning of their round.
For season 2: summer, the card is this:
I didn't want anyone to leave so someone is going to arrive.
The dice say this person is of merchant class and they are unrelated to the existing families. This means they're a new family!
The dice says it's a single mother with a teenaged son. Random name generator says they're Mariah Blackman and her son Swithin. I think they'll be merchant class but not actual shop owners, so Mariah is going to try getting an actual job once one becomes available. Their fortune is 60.000, and I'll move them into one of the apartments by the square as a start.

Other changes for round 2 is that everyone gets to spend a small amount of money (dependent on their class) on just decorations because their houses are looking VERY sparse), and they also get a dice roll for a few more furniture each round.

The werewolves are basically anarchists and communists. They share everything, including each other's bodies when the fancy strikes, but they can't earn any money or take part in community services (there aren't any except the resource lots that they're not allowed to use while active household at all).
Philomena is a family sim who likes to flirt. She's involved with a few humans, including Gordon McCleary, and the household cook because she's the only one with any cooking points.
She also likes to flirt with Jonathon (and Saga), but no one takes that sort of thing seriously when it's within pack. They're all family anyway.
Jonathan occasionally mines some stuff for their farm store, but he also likes puttering around with the vegetable garden.
Atticus spends his free time fishing, but most of his time is spent running the store.
It is very small and they didn't have room for actual store shelves, and it's not making any money like at all. Maybe eventually? They're not allowed the cash payout as a business perk.
The wolf instinct is strong to hunt, but Philomena manages to finish gathering herbs before going after the deer. She likes deer and is the pack's best hunter.
Philomena and Saga hit it off quite often. I think they make a cute couple.
The store makes enough money to invest in some shelves and mostly sells the berries they grow in their garden. Atticus is excited about what new customers this might bring.
Other things have been brought, like sperm, and Jonathon is preggers. I think we can safely assume the sire is Atticus, but who knows and also who cares? They're all gonna be parents anyway.
Atticus shows a surprisingly tender side for his pack mate anyway.
Aaand we have another set of twins (I may have to change my settings). Two boys, named Gerralt and Gyles. Everyone is safe and healthy.
Saga and Philomena celebrate new babies in the house by taking their flirty friendship to a different level.

I was worried about Saga's motive levels, but thankfully it was Thursday and it was time for werewolf transformation (I have a mod)!
Philomena and Jonathon have started flirting a bit.
Saga gives birth to a baby boy called Tale (no, not Tail). He's really cute and looks a lot like Philomena so far.
Meanwhile, the twins grow into very loud very hungry toddlers. I think this one is Gerallt.

On the last day of the season, Atticus pops. I totally missed any chimes if there were any but I assume based on biology that the baby is Jonathon's.

The werewolves don't pay tax and actually didn't earn any money that they didn't immediately spend on nursery furniture, so that'll be interesting. At least they paid their bills.

1. Spring - Pelehan Court Part 2 (continued due to max images)
Jane and Ogden's baby is named Robert and his mother immediately resents having to nurse while also having a full time job.
Before the season ends, it's Adria's birthday and she ages up into a knowledge sim teen. She had good chemistry with both the teen Ellsworths so it's going to be fun to see if anything happens there next round.

All the households have been played besides two, the anarchist werewolves, and this one, Pelehan Court, home of the landlord, Terrence Pelehan.
According to the Quiet Year setup game, Terrence was taken by aliens right before the round started, so that's going to be interested to see.
Terrence has a job in politics and spends his free time writing. He's a knowledge sim so he's not particularly interested in his main jobs: breeding and extracting money and resources from his renters.
Every round in his household starts off like this: an inventory dump of everything he (and his servants) have bought or received as part of a contract. Some of this will be kept, but most is exchanged for other things of the same category according to my standard BaCC rules. Next round some households are allowed imports, which will make their homes less empty and undecorated, but for now everything is handmade or bought in a shop.
Miss Adria Ledford is Terrence's ward and lives with him until she's an adult. She's plenty wealthy in her own right of course, or she wouldn't be related to Terrence at all, but Terrence is very busy and Adria spends most of her days alone in her room.
Emma Keane is the housekeeper, and like, 8th generation Pelehan servant. It's an open secret that some of her ancestors had a baby with one of Terrence's, and they've grown up together, but Emma has some savings that she hope to one day use to buy herself a cottage and be free from servant life.
The other two servants in the house are Ogden Miller, the gardener and handy man, who is an indentured servant and has to work here until he's paid of his debt. And then there's Jane Cedar, the lumberjack's sister.
They're actually into each other and I already caught them sneaking off for some woohoo when they were done with work for the day.
Adria is really interested in whatever happened to Terrence on that space ship. Terrence would prefer not to talk about it actually.
Birth hurts, and doubly so if you don't have the hips for it.
But when she's born, even thought she might look very strange, Terrence can't resist the wave of emotion and feels his cold heart fill up with music so strong there's only one appropriate name for his daughter and heir: Symphony. I think she's really cute.
But paternal affection doesn't mean Terrence will deign to do actual work, and most of the child rearing falls on Emma or Jane.
Adria becomes friends with Johan Ellsworth, while Terrence tries to find out if Sven Ellsworth might be a better match for his ward (she's actually Sven's age, not Johan's). They had the rest of the Ellsworths over too, but Clarity and Tor only flirted with each other the entire time and Devin went home right away.
Emma has a day off and spends it at the mine, hoping to get some body skills and perhaps also some iron. If she works hard, she can make herself a work bench that she can use on her freetime to make some extra money.
She's also a romance sim and ran into this guy with whom she had good chemistry, but nothing much happened.
Jane and Ogden have a date and it ends in bed. A couple of times actually.
It's quickly Symphony's birthday and she grows up fairly cute but her flattened little face makes me remember why I don't like alien babies too much. The Pelehan family will for all future now look weird. But I like her colouring at least :)
Jane is starting to think she might like one of these on her own one day, and often volunteers to spend time with Symphony.
Toddlers aren't that more interesting than babies, Terrence thinks, but at least he sometimes makes time for Adria. They often read together in the afternoons.
Terrence sometimes spends time with this townie, whose name is Alice. She has the most awesome resting bitch face and I want it mixed with Terrence perpetually concerned expression, but he's not throwing that many wants for her. ACR takes care of a lot of their courtship actually.
Alice has the worst outfit ever but that won't stop her from trying to befriend the other young ladies in Terrence's life. She seems pretty determined to be the new Mrs Pelehan actually.
Jane suddenly one day realizes it might not be a good day to have constant woohoo with the convicted felon because now she's pregnant.
Ogden really can't afford a fine for breach of promise, so they get married quickly before Jane is showing too much. And this is actually the first non-townie marriage in the hood, so now the Millers and the Cedars are connected in the family tree which makes me happy.
As a wedding gift, Terrence allows them to section off a part of the carriage house for a room for their baby, and they also get a d6 roll for wood furniture and spend it on a basket weaving bench. Jane hopes to learn to use it as soon as possible.
The drawback of marrying Ogden for her though, is that they now have shared bank accounts and her meager savings immediately go to paying off his debt and there's plenty of debt left.
Perhaps inspired by his servants marital bliss, Terrence pops the question to Alice. Obviously her plan worked well.
Jane goes into labour. And then her pregnancy token errors out and I had to move her temporarily into another lot to reset it.
