Did I just follow you and you're wondering why? I have a fandom-esque side blog at iasconsumesmedia. If you don't care about sims, you should probably follow that one instead. If you're the type to follow back of course.
It doesn't have much inside, because I couldn't think of that much. It was built by the town and cost 13.751.
The medical career can at this point only be applied to by a sim who is both 1. A family sim, and 2. has at least five cleaning points.
Whoever it is has to go to this lot at least once per rotation and serve or sell grandma's comfort soup. I might look into the apothecary stuff from Sun&Moon eventually, but for now, that's it. There's no point in showing the inside because there's like, nothing there. The medical lot is situated near the square.

Last round, Ridley became more efficient at being a blacksmith, and Melva succesfully ran their shop until she got pregnant.
While playing another household, Ridley had an affair and impregnated Mariah Blackman who married another man to cover it all up.
This round, their tarot card was Queen of Wands, so they have to throw a roof-raiser party.
They rolled 100 simoleons to spend on deco, which they used on some of their indoor walls, and 3 pieces of furniture, which they spent on another bed and a closet.
We started the round with Melva going into labour, and giving birth to baby Graeme. Another boy!
But then this happened, Ridley wasn't able to save her this time, and Melva Smith became the first sim to die. And she didn't even get a chance to join her spirit with a tree! Now her soul will remain restless for the rest of eternity.
Oliver and Ramsey comforted each other best they could.
And Ridley had a very mature reaction to being a single father of four, three of which needed diaper changes and bottles fetched.
But soon, life returned to some semblance of normality for the Smiths.
Hefina took over more of the chores around the house and yard.
Oliver is so lucky that wolf is caught in a trap!
Soon, Oliver and Ramsay grew into children! Children are so much easier and can at least wash and feed themselves. They can also do chores.
Ridley is a very loving father. I love the tuck-in function of this game!
Ridley had wants about this townie. He wanted to become friends with her, and had non-specific marriage and baby wants. Well that baby want is going to get fulfilled as soon as I play the Blackmans. But I think I'll keep him single for a bit.
Hefina sometimes invited her best friend, Grady Weaver, over to play.
And then it was time to throw that party. Graeme aged into a toddler, and Ridley took the opportunity to handle his deliveries for the season. And the party was a success!
Melva took most of their inventory with her when she died so Ridley had to size down the shop quite a bit, but at least they now have some stoves for sale. Stoves can be exchanged 2 to 1 for a better stove, a fridge, or a large appliance if a playable sim buys it, but no playable sims showed up on this day. The shop did well anyway though.
Melva haunted the house and made her beloved son Oliver pee his pants. That's not very family sim of you, Melva.
Ramsey grieved his mother over and over this round. Poor kids. They were so young!
And then on the last day, Hefina grew into a teenaged romance sim. And then my game crashed and I had to replay the past three days yay!
During those three days, the twins were cute a lot of the time.
---
Despite not being able to leave the lot at all, Ridley managed to meet his quotas, and pay the tax + rent of 400 simoleons. He always put 400 towards their debt which at least paid the interest for that round. They still owe 4.623 simoleons though.
Well this round didn't turn out like I had hoped. At least with the third medical emergency, the town can now hire a healer.
The Smith family saw Hefina growing into a child, and the twins became toddlers, and Ridley worked hard enough to be ready for a trade with the lumberjack for some resources to they can make more furniture for their family. Melva was pregnant when last we left off and having a hard time of it. We're still only on two medical emergencies, so she can't look for that job in medical yet.
In the Cedar family, Andreas and Mary welcomed baby Sheryl, while Mordred became a toddler and Arthur Brown, their ward, became a teenager, so he will now have to find someone with land who will marry him when they're adults, or he'll have to go into servitude. Their shop also did well, and Andreas is very efficient at cutting trees these days.
In the Carpenter family, Michael attempted and failed at an affair, Jude and Jafeth grew into children while Letitia became a toddler. Meaghan met her quota and advertised for a second order. I've decided that order will be taken by the Blackman family whom Meaghan now has to deliver 5 pieces of furniture to. She's very concerned about her children's future.
The Fisher family welcomed little Philip. Paul continued to not be attracted to anyone except Elizabeth McCleary, but has wants to become a werewolf, and I might let him. Marianne took care of the shop and her baby and is excited for adulthood to start very soon so she can marry her baby momma, Annie.
Because of a tarot pull, the Weavers were prevented from spending time on their silk business, but just about managed to survive anyway. Meredith fell in love with Sven Ellsworth, Grady grew into a child, and the dogs had a puppy, Cloud.
The Miller family are now the wealthies family of their class. Georgiana and Walter became teenagers, while Jeffrey and Dickie had a baby, Jaylene. Adelia had some chemistry with Arthur Brown, but not really all that much, so I don't know what will happen there.
The McClearys struggled a bit with Evan now moved out but managed to run their unprofitable book shop. Their twins Octavian and Cedric became toddlers and their dogs had three puppies, Defoe, Swift and Brontë. Defoe moved in with the Hamsterleys and the McClearys advertised for a house servant to help out with everything.
Newly weds Ellen and Evan Hamsterley enjoyed their life in their modest home with their newborn Frances. Defoe grew into an adult dog, Ellen almost died in child birth, but was saved, and Evan aaalmost became the first to max the mechanical skill. Ellen finsihed two novels on her journey to become a journalist.
The Ellsworth family saw their daughter Alison become a child and their son Johan become a teen. Devin was pushed to break up with his girlfriend so he could court Miss Adria Ledford instead, while Sven established that actually he would rather be with Meredith Weaver. The flower shop was very profitable and grew to level 8, and Clarity and Tor had a fifth baby, little Karl.
The Blackman family moved to the neighbourhood after surviving a ship wreck. Or so they say. Swithin painted while Mariah slept around and eventually married Peter Coblegh who despite what he thinks, is not the father of her unborn baby. The family moved to a lovely new house that is out of their budget but will allow them to open a gallery.
Terrence Pelehan married his fiancé Alice and they had a daughter named Norma, while his daughter and heir Symphony grew into a child, and his ward Adria Ledford became even more infatuated with Devin Ellsworth despite everyone else vying for her attention. Their servants, Ogden and Jane Miller had another baby, Fantine, while their son became a toddler, and the cook, Emma Keane met Warin Wardeby and had a shotgun wedding before she gave birth to William. Warin was forced to move out and took a position as servant with the McClearys so the couple will be able to see each other on their days off.
On pack land, three children were born and I cried a lot. And then I removed my 24h pregnancy mod. Half the sims had aspiration failure.
---
I'm still using the Quiet Year to create little challenges, and for Autumn, it's going to be this one:
I'm going with a project, but we didn't have any, so I thought to start one.
There's been a concern among the population that there is no place for their children to safely go an play. There is plenty of money in the town funds, so Mr Pelehan authorizes the building of a park on Macellum Heights. It will only be open for children and teenagers so they can have somewhere to meet.
---
No new sims will be added this round, but I will be removing that pregnancy mod (at least while playing this hood), and I'll be adding the school mods from Simlogical in preparation for when we can build a school. So far, no one has donated any lumber, but I might be able to get on that now that more of the lower classes are having teenagers to help out with the resource gathering.
I still haven't decided if I want to add traits to this hood. I only sometimes play with them as is, but I might.
And no, I won't add defaults for townie clothing, because, and I cannot stress this enough, I do not care enough about the historical aspects of this hood.
There is 49.219 simoleons in the town funds, and this is the current scorecard:
We're doing well, but we need more actual jobs omg.
On the last visit to the pack house, everyone fooled around with everyone, babies followed, and Atticus made a valiant attempt to run a little stall to sell stuff.
This round, they pulled The Hermit, in reversed, which means that for this round, someone has to visit a community lot every single day and either make a friend there, or take an existing friendship to a higher level. They also rolled 1300 spent on decoration which they didn't have and 6 imported pieces of furniture, which they spent on beds for all the kids.
They may all be werewolves on this lot, but that doesn't mean they're good with nature. Philomena is very disappointed by this season's harvest.
Atticus, who we left pregnant last round, gave birth to Hunter. Another boy. It's all boys on this lot apparently.
Jonathon went to the mining lot where he's technically not allowed because he's an anarchist werewolf, but who's gonna stop him? He met and befriended Jane Miller.
Little Tale grew into a toddler. I was gonna say he looks like one of his dads, but he doesn't because he has too moms. He looks like a good mix between Saga and Philomena actually.
On day 2, Saga went to Sacred Grove. Werewolves don't believe that their souls become trees when they die, like the other residents, but she did her best to respect the space anyway.
She also met this random townie who I hope to add to a household someday just because I wouldn't have to change her clothes. They got on well.
Back at home, the werewolves continued hooking up left and right.
But they didn't forget their puppies. Atticus taught Gyles to talk.
Philomena went to the Temple on day 3 to befriend Ellen Hamsterley and build some sandcastles. I think she also tried to find some clams, but had no luck.
Hunter grew into an adorable toddler! I think his parents are Atticus and Jonathon, but to be perfectly honestly, I a) lost track of who was whose kids during this round and b) don't particularly care because the werewolves don't. They will be perfectly capable of making sure they don't breed with their siblings on their own, I don't have to pay attention to silly stuff.
Gerallt and Gyles grew into children and then I kinda stopped paying attention to them all that much, although I know they helped out around the house and occasionally did homework.
Jonathon looks very pleased with himself for having knocked up two of his packmates. Saga is just pleased by how hot Philomena looks when she's preggers.
The shop had a small upgrade and was reorganized a bit. The berries and the herbs are selling really well.
I didn't notice Philomena going into labour because I was too busy keeping an eye on the shop, but she gave birth to yet another boy. This one is named Fletcher.
And Atticus went to the square and befriended Warin Wardeby while various townies fell in love around him.
Poor Hunter was being a little neglected and didn't like it.
And I felt like crying just like Saga when Philomena was pregnant again. Someone really needs to die soon so we can get that birth control because these people need it!
Just a picture to show that apparently I had all the necessary mods to make children into werewolves. I didn't even know, since I never play with werewolves.
The two boys were often awake all night fishing. At least they're outside, so good for them.
Atticus continued spending a surprising amount of time with the kids for a fortune sim.
On the fifth and last day of the season, Jonathon went to the Temple and became best friends with Andreas Cedar. Good for them, I guess?
And again I hit 3 speed instead of pausing so I had no better picture than this of Philomena giving birth to little Luna, the first daughter of the pack. And then she became pregnant again the same day so now I'm uninstalling that 24h pregnancy mod. It's been a good run, I've had it forever, but eventually a hood becomes too difficult to play to be enjoyable.
---
The werewolves don't pay taxes and don't use the bank, so nothing to report when it comes to money.
I *think* this is the paternity situation:
Gerallt, Gyles, and Hunter are Atticus' and Jonathon's.
Tale is Philomena's and Saga's.
Fletcher, Luna, and unborn baby is Jonathon's and Philomena's.

Ogden worried over his pole beans this season because there has been a lot of rain.
I worried over Ogden this season because he has so few days left to live and married romance sims with two small kids and very little time to screw their wife don't tend to get very long life spans.
Emma on the other hand, finally found a sim who wanted to go on a date with her. I forgot to take any pictures, but it was a dream date, they fell in love and had some woohoo on Adria's bed, like real classy people.
And then this happened. Emma panicked a bit. She might be the great granddaughter of a Keane who got knocked up by a Pelehan, but she's always kept her reputation spotless. A baby out of wedlock would be disastrous and she might even be asked to leave her employment.
But Warin Wardeby (such a Dickensian name, isn't it?), was more than happy to step up, and the two got married quickly. Warin will be spending the rest of the round at Pelehan Court, but will then move to his new job, to be a servant for the McClearys. He's a younger son of a farmer with 1200 to his name, which was added to Emma's own savings.
But until then, he helps Ogden out with the garden and does odd jobs around the house.
Norma grew into a toddler and while the maids do most of the work with her, Alice IS a family sim and she took care of a lot of the skill training. She also wants another baby but I'm keeping ACR from doing its thing until there are fewer babies in the house because it was becoming very draining on my mental faculties.
Emma went into labour, the third birth of this round, and gave birth to a little boy named William that I forgot to take pictures of.
Adria shares her intention to marry Devin Ellsworth with her guardian.
Her guardian has already been forewarned by the groom to be's incessant mother, but smiles and nods. He loves his ward a lot and wants her to be happy and so far there doesn't seem to be any future dukes or viscounts coming to call for her, so a merchant will have to do.
Devin comes over a lot, and I let them give in to their matching go steady wants, and then I had a hell of a time keeping them away from beds.
Fantine grew into a rather angry and rather ugly toddler, but it might just be her expression. Jane is very tired and very ready for the baby/toddler years of her life to be over. You and me both, Jane, but again, this is all your own doing.
Ha. No, Ogden. Are you fucking kidding me? I locked the grandkid want for you because I think there's a chance it might happen, but come on. What kind of romance sim are you? Besides, you have like one day left of your life!
---
With Alice's fortune and the donation to the town, as well as interest, the Pelehan's have about 317k in savings. They'll be settling some on their children soon though. They paid 4925 in taxes and the town funds now have 49.219 to spend on investments and buildings.
The Millers had 50 simoleons leftover from their wages after paying their taxes which was put towards paying off their debt along with the sales of some of the baskets Jane had weaved. With interest, they still owe 319 simoleons.
The Wardebys had 75 leftover after taxes and they put it in savings. With interest they now have 5.804 saved. If they don't spend anything, they'll break 6K next round! Warin will be moving out though, and they'll maintain their marriage long distance with dates when they have a day off.
Adria's private fortune grew to 88.200. Good for her. She doesn't need to get married if she doesn't want to and can live a life of leisure if she wanted to.
--
Phew, this round was... well there were a lot of children and the servant's kids were dirty the entire time and I forgot to take pictures of what Terrence and Symphony were doing. The upstairs family mostly skilled and read books the entire time. I need to find something meaningful for Alice to do next round too.
It's the second to last household of the rotation and that means it's time for a visit back at Pelehan Court. Last round, Terrence had an alien baby, Symphony, and got engaged to townie woman Alice Frankeleyn, while two of his servants, Ogden Miller and Jane Cedar got married after too much woohoo lead to an unexpected pregnancy. Jane birthed Robert after much issues with pregnancy controllers.
This round, they pulled a Queen of Pentacles card, which means they had to make a donation to the town. The die said 40.000 so now the town funds have plenty of resources for building some public buildings.
The Pelehans also rolled 6.000 simoleons worth of decoration, which they spent on some of their reception rooms and also the garden in preparation for the big wedding, and they rolled 10 pieces of furniture which were spent mostly on the bedrooms.
"I vow to love you with all my heart and to never forget to come to dinner because I'm too busy with my books."
"And I vow to love your daughter like she were my own, and to love your ward like she were my sister since we're so close in age and..."
Terrence looks so happy! Alice was previously of merchant class and brought in 80.000 to their shared finances. She's a family sim and will be spending her time on raising however many children they end up with.
A lot of sims showed up for the wedding, more than I had seats for.
Terrence took the opportunity to assure Clarity Ellsworth that her son had his blessing to marry his ward.
And then this horrible thing happened which is a problem because 1. Johan, you are like, 13 and Emma is an adult and also 2. Ew, don't slum it with the maid, that will reflect very poorly on your older brothers.
And Swithin Blackman stole a first kiss from Adria, but thankfully she didn't fall in love or something so they can just remain friends. They have like one bolt and she deserves better.
And then the party was over and the lot errored out and got a stuck party controller, but Adria and Alice got to know each other.
That evening, it was Symphony's birthday!
And she's cute! I'm gonna let her keep the orange and blue dress I think. At least for now.
This picture is meant to show off a) their nice drawing room and b) That Alice is doing the pregnant walk even though her lovely outfit doesn't have a preg morph. Spare heirs on the way!
It was Emma's day off, and the cook went to the square to find someone to date, because she's a romance sim and her aspiration was getting dangerously low.
This guy didn't like her at all. I think he's gay.
Because he had no trouble making out with Richard Delabere. Dickie, you're married, what are you doing?
This lady also turned her down.
And even Jonathon the werewolf, serial dater, wasn't interested in her. But he sure liked Gordon McCleary, which Gordon might want to remember because he's a romance sim too, and romance sims have needs.
Back at home, Jane seems to be expecting a child as well. Because they're not quite poor enough.
Ogden isn't particularly bothered about becoming a father with less than five days to live, and keeps doing his job of gardening and fixing whatever is broken. He doesn't hold with these indoor plumbing gizmos. The outhouse was fine for him all his life.
Adria and Symphony often meet in the drawing room for Pelehan Court book club. Reading is one of the only forms of entertainment in this house so far, except for Adria's easel.
And there is still no preg morph, but Alice is going into labour!
It's another girl! Her name is Norma! Jane is not pleased, it seems, to have another one to change diapers on.
She's busy enough trying to raise little Robert in between her work tasks. A head housemaid's job is never done, and neither is a mother's.
Well, babe YOU are the one who wanted to woohoo the gardener three times in one day. You did this yourself.
Ogden does some of the cleaning now so Jane can get some rest and sit down and learn some more cooking skills now and then.
Adria is very fond of little Symphony, because at least now there's some company for her in the dining room when the adults are busy.
Jane goes into labour and gives birth to Fantine. Yes, there are now three babies/toddlers on the lot. It's a lot of work.
Jane takes a day off that morning to go harvest some reeds. She bought a basket weaving station last round and hopes to put it to good use soon so they can make some more money now that there are two children to provide for.
I moved the Blackman-Coblegh family out of their apartment and into this corner lot that I built (I'll change the roads later, don't worry). It's located on an off street to the square and is intended as a home business lot.
Mariah will be starting a Gallery here, because Swithin wants to run one when he grows up. They'll sell art and also art supplies for now (as merchants they're allowed to base their inventory off of imported items and don't have to make or forage them themselves).
It's a big house in terms of bedrooms, so one of the upstairs ones will become a sitting room eventually, leaving them with four bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room that is currently also a drawing room, and two bathrooms. I might change the downstairs floorplan because I'm not super happy with it, but we'll see.
I only brought their old furniture, so fingers crossed for a good roll when it's their turn again.
Mariah Blackman and her son Swithin survived a recent shipwreck but were lucky enough to make it ashore with all their money. Or Mia Black, a renowned con woman escaped the law and stole everyone's money before the ship sank.
Because they just got added, they don't get any tarot cards or dice rolls.
Swithin spends a lot of time painting. He'd like to open up a gallery some day and sell art.
Mariah would just like a job, any job that will keep her in comfort and in a respectable position. She's done with crime, she says, but there are no available jobs she's qualified for right now, so she reads a lot and tries to find a rich spouse.
The first man she has good chemistry with is Michael Carpenter. Who is already married.
But neither of them care very much about that. Michael has very low chemistry with his wife, so he's likely to cheat when a chance presents itself. They have some fun and then he goes home.
Swithin isn't having much more luck, because he has negative chemistry with most people he meet, but he's a popularity sim so I at least let him make friends with the people who don't want him.
He ran into Sven Ellsworth and they were almost up to Best friend by the end of the round. Negative chemistry here too.
Mariah ran into a 3-bolter! Ridley Smith. Who is also married, but my rule is 3 bolt chemistry has to be acted on so...
Despite being a happily married family sim, Ridley had no problem getting into bed with Mariah. And there were chimes.
It's a shame he's married, Mariah thinks, because he's frightfully attractive.
She does meet Peter Coblegh though, who looks rich.
They only have one bolt, but she's a fortune sim and money matters more.
She's very glad she got him into bed because pretty soon this happened.
He doesn't really need to know it's not his baby, does he?
They quickly tie the knot at the Temple, in the middle of a rain storm that made both the bride and Swithin sick.
Peter is a knowledge sim and, it turned out, not that rich at all. In her quest to get married quickly, she didn't do her proper research. Peter Coblegh had a very modest fortune of 18.000 simoleons, which means he isn't even merchant class. She has married down.
I really like their apartment, but Peter is right to be worried about how small it is. He's also right to be worried about his marriage in general with just one bolt.
---
Since they already pay rent on their apartment, they only had to pay the tax, which was 250 simoleons. With Mariah's stolen fortune and Peter's modest savings, they also have 70.000 in the bank, which is enough for a house, so I think they'll be moving next round. Goodbye small apartment, you were very lovely while it lasted.
The Ellsworth Merchant family is up next! Their main challenge is still to restore their good reputation by having 10 friends, two of which must be one other merchant and Terrence Pelehan, which is in the bag so to speak.
for this round, they pulled Queen of Cups and Clarity and Tor have to try for baby even though they already have four to support.
They rolled 1600 in deco which they spent mostly on their drawing room which is now rather nice from at least some angles, and 6 pieces of furniture which they spent on a chess set and a bed for Alison when she grows up.
Alison is very cute and both her eldest brothers help out with teaching her the skills needs. Should I default replace the toy box toys? Nah, I can live with a rocket.
Devin has a girlfriend, but he's on strict orders from his parents to at least try to woo Ms Adria Ledford, so he makes a nominal attempt.
Clarity does her part to make the rich young lady feel welcome.
"We're actually very well respected in the neighbourhood these days, you know, and no one of sense believes those silly rumours of my husband having been in prison anymore."
"That's very nice Mrs Ellsworth."
"Both Devin and Sven were telling me just the other day, you know, that they think your parents must have been angels to make you so very pretty, my dear."
"Thank you, Mrs Ellsworth."
It seems Adria prefers Devin. Clarity and Tor think this is very appropriate as he's their eldest.
"If you need more flowers for your wedding, you know where to find us."
"That's very lovely to hear, Mrs Ellsworth, but I think my dear Terrence has lovely gardens that will do just nicely."
"Oh, of course he does, he has such excellent taste."
I get to do the Pelehan wedding soon and I'm getting excited, and so I hope, is Alice!
Now that he's older, Sven also helps out around the shop. He usually does restocking while Devin mans the till, but sometimes they have to swap.
Adria visits a lot these days, and perhaps she sometimes thinks Sven is the cuter brother?
But Sven's main interest is nature and Adria has never been encouraged to spend time out of doors.
Clarity and Tor get started on that "try for baby" attempt they have to do for this round. There are chimes. Sigh.
And a pop comes soon. Sigh. Please don't be twins or worse.
Sven invites over Meredith Weaver, his main crush. They at least have something in common.
Clarity thinks her children should be able to do better than a weaver's daughter, but her father James is pleasant enough and she supposes with a little bit of support, the family might climb a bit, socially. Also, James becomes the family's tenth friend, and their reputation is now officially saved, which means they're allowed to marry within their class and above. Good, because it would've been awkward if they went to all that trouble to woo Adria and then not be allowed to go through with it.
Where is Tor in all this, you wonder? Well, Tor now has a fire lit under his butt to max mechanical before Evan Hamsterley, so he spent all his days reading. In the end, it wasn't enough, and unless Gordon McCleary steals it first, Evan is going to get that architect job. Tor will have to do something else, or just help with the shop for the rest of his life.
Sven decides to take the plunge and asks Meredith to be his betrothed. She says yes of course. I think they're really cute together.
Allison grows into a very cute child.
And Johan grows into a decent teen romance sim.
And on the second to last day of the round, Clarity goes into labour!
No death this time, and baby Karl was born. Everyone was happy about this but Clarity suspect their savings isn't going to be enough for all of these kids in the future.
Johan goes to the mining lot one day to smelt some iron and cut some trees. Not quite actitivites suitable for his class, but they're gonna need to make more furniture eventually and he needed some body skills. As a middle son, he might need some practical skills too, who knows where he will end up?
Meanwhile, in the store, the family is making lots of money and working together. They make about 1500-2000 every day, and the business is at level 7. Clarity gets a gold badge in sales, and Devin has one in the cash register, but we're gonna have to train Sven on it too soon.
When the shop has closed, Devin knows what he must do. He's not really strong enough to go against his parents' will, and breaks up with his girlfriend Beatrix. She's free to date someone else now, and I hope she does because her last name is Penhurst and I want it in my hood.
---
Tax and Rent this time was 950 simoleons.
The family were able to put 10.000 into savings and with interest, their bank account is now 65.625.

Last round, Evan McCleary married townie woman Ellen Hamsterley and they moved out to their own rather modest next to his sister and husband. On a visit to his sister during this round, she suggested he take one of the puppies, Defoe, home, and they did.
They're technically merchant class due to their wealth, but Ellen is going to try to become a journalist (she has to write five novels for that to unlock) and Evan will be taking care of the house as well as studying mechanical to see if he can be the first to max it (you need max mechanical to apply for the job as an architect)
This round, they pulled 10 of swords, which means they have to live dangerously and take risks. If someone dies, the challenge is over. I thought of a few ways to play this, and decided forcing them outside in thunderstorms and lighting their fireplace would be enough and then see if any other risks presented themselves.
They rolled 2.000 simoleons for decoration and 13 pieces of furniture. They spent a lot of their deco budget on nicer wall coverings and curtains, and the furniture budget on the nursery they hope to put a baby in this season.
Evan spent a lot of time and love on Defoe this round. Defoe is super cute.
The newlyweds of course also spent a lot of time together. Ellen has such a resting bitch face though, but I swear she's very happy with her husband.
Evan hit the books to get mechanical skill points! He actually did really well and had 8 by the end of the round, so his competitors, Tor Ellsworth and Gordon McCleary had better step up if they want to beat him to it.
He also tend their tomatoes and the small garden.
Very soon, Ellen popped. Heir on the way!
They had to light the fire at least once every day when they were in the living room where the fireplace was located.
Defoe became housebroken! It was much easier with just one puppy lol.
Ellen went into labour! A baby girl was born and given the name Frances and - wait, Ellen, what are you doing?
Ellen, no!!!
Evan, yes!!!
And with that, the number of medical emergencies rose to 2. Only one more before Melva Smith can find a job in medical.
Defoe grew up. I actually didn't think this through and Defoe was played both at the McClearys and at the Hamsterleys so he's going to be older than his brother and sister now. Oh, well.
Ellen finished writing her first novel. It sold great. 1 down, four to go.
She also tended to Frances. I hope we can stick to just one kid for this household, but they do technically have room for two.
Ellen has also made good friends with Defoe. This doggie has a very loving life ahead of him :)
Evan struck up a conversation with Mariah Blackman who passed by their house. It's good to be on good terms with all the neighbours of your class, and everyone likes Mariah so far.
Ellen finished her second novel. Only three left!
Sims feeding babies is so cute. They look so tender and soft with their little nooboos.
Soon, Frances grew into a toddler!
Obligatory toddler/dog cuddle picture. Look, Defoe, you don't get to complain because you're the one who trotted up the stairs to initiate this.
---
Tax/Rent was 750 simoleons, a piece of cake with two novels sold, and their savings went from 45.000 to 47.250, which is a nice little nest egg for Fanny to inherit unless she gets a little sibling to share with. Obviously her parents hope she's going to marry Symphony Pelehan, because all merchant parents are counting on getting a shot at that.
Last season, Evan moved out with his wife Ellen, so now Elizabeth and Gordon are alone with their toddlers and their pregnant dogs and their barely profitable book shop.
They pulled a 7 of swords which meant they had to keep their affairs (they're both involved with other people) a secret. And then I forgot about this and they didn't cheat this round, so... oh well.
They rolled 2.000 simoleons for deco and 23 pieces of furniture which they spent on various updates in their kitchen as well as a chess table and a few other things.
Elizabeth quickly realized how much work her brother actually did around the house and the shop and one day with the twins Cedric and Octavian and she was ready to advertise for a maid.
And a cook, because reading cooking books is not how she'd like to spend her time, okay?
At least Ms Dashwood and Mr Darcy are low maintenance now that they've been trained and taught not to destroy things or pee inside.
Elizabeth tried to open her shop and got to know her new neighbour Mariah Blackman a bit, but basically, selling books is not a good way to make money in this game. What do the devs have against books? (I downloaded some typewriters she could sell but not until the end of the round so we'll do that next time)
Cedric and Octavian aged into toddlers in horribly terrible clothing. Hail Pescado for the clothing tool which quickly took care of this.
Gordon wishes they had a maid who could take care of the dogs, but at least his evening play time with Mr Darcy is fun.
Mr Darcy also is good at keeping the twins entertained and is a frequent visitor to the nursery.
Octavian loves the doggie <3
And Ms Dashwood gave birth!!! Three puppies (I have since downloaded the mod to let puppies have markings) that we named Defoe, Swift and Brontê (I was organizing the classics section of my bookshelves in between sessions). Three puppies turned out to be a lot of work though and by the end of the round only one of them was housebroken.
Gordon wants to hire a nanny. A nanny would give the kids a bath.
He also needs to occasionally man the till at the store. I think the daily profit is around 150-200 simoleons. Sigh. I wish I'd downloaded those typewriters earlier because then they could've made more money. Not that they need a lot of money but they do have two kids and might very well have more.
Evan and Ellen came by for lunch when Elizabeth took a day off.
After a quick conversation about home security, they all agreed that Evan, who was the main caretaker and trainer of the dogs, would take Defoe home with them so they could have a dog too. He misses having a dog around.
Ellen played with the twins. Maybe she'd like to have kids herself soon?
And then the McClearys hit the books while the Hamsterleys hit the chess set and no one talked to each other for the rest of the day. Sims, I tell ya.
--
The tax this round was 800. They couldn't afford any more money put into savings, but thanks to interest their savings account grew to 82.688 simoleons, which will come in handy when their kids grow up (they hope one of their sons will marry Symphony Pelehan of course).
---
The McClearys REALLY need and want to hire some help, but there are no playables currently looking for work as a servant. They might get to hire one of the Carpenter boys but it won't be next round, so they're gonna have to struggle with like, doing things themselves. The horror. Imagine being a wealthy merchant and doing your own dishes?
Last time, the Miller family was the poorest family of their class until Jeffrey married Richard Delabere who brought in some much needed cash and solved their debt.
This time, they pulled 10 of pentacles which means a surprise sum of money. A distant relative of Jeffrey's late wife learnt about her passing, and decided to leave the family 8.000 (I rolled a d10) in their will.
They also rolled 300 spent on decoration, which again I used for the kitchen, and 7 pieces of furniture that I honestly don't remember how I spent except I think I bought some bedside tables for the master bedroom.
Richard starts off strong by befriending Terrence Pelehan, always a good contact to have in your back pocket.
The newlyweds also make sure to get some time for themselves in private.
The strawberries were planted late, so while they can totally afford the fine if they don't meet their quota, Jeff makes sure to harvest as much berries as he can this season, just in case.
Adelia invites her childhood friend Arthur Brown over. They unfortunately only have one bolt together though.
But I sent them on a date anyway and it went pretty well, and they have matching get steady wants, but honestly, one bolt is not really enough for me so we'll hold off until we get to Arthur's round next time to see if there are better options for either of them. Arthur wouldn't be a great match for Adelia, but she'd be an awesome one for him.
Richard is an awesome stepfather and spends time with his stepkids whenever he gets a chance. Family sims are good that way.
Jeffrey and Adelia both needed some body skills so I sent them to the mines. You know, when I built this lot, I didn't think it was going to be a workout lot, but there we are.
Twins Walter and Georgiana spend a lot of time together and take full advantage of the chess set the family bought when Richard moved in.
Oh no! I knew this was a risk with these grain fields, but damn, two being flooded in one day! And I didn't remember when I last saved either, or I would have reloaded the lot. That's a big chunk out of their autumn harvest gone that is!
Other things are growing more fruitfully and Jeffrey is expecting their child. I did want Richard to have spawn, but I hope they'll be happy with just one kid, since Jeff already had three.
The pregnancy is smooth and quick and soon baby Jaylene is born.
I judged that Jeffrey had harvested enough berries and veg, as well as some miscellanous stuff that they could open their farm store. Elizabeth McCleary bought a crate of tomatoes and the shop did well that day, even if it was only open once.
And then it was birthday time! Walter become a popularity sim in bad clothing.
And Georgiana became a romance sim in even worse clothes. But I took care of that as soon as I could.
I sent the twins to the logging log to meet some teenagers. Georgiana met no one, but Walter ran into a girl that in the end he had no chemistry with.
Dickie is happy to have a baby in the house, even if little Jaylene keeps smelling and screaming a lot.
And the teenagers all play around a lot when they're not busy with chores.
--
The tax/rent was 450, they met their quota with the help of the berry baskets.
And when all was said and done, they could put 20.000 into savings, that with interest is now worth 28.718 which is pretty awesome for a farming family. None of the Miller children will have to go into servitude, that's for sure.
And that was the last of the farm class families, which means it's time to visit the Merchants next!

I'm very happy we had no chimes, but one of the advantages of not being allowed to work on your main craft this season is that Hannes and James got some more time together.
Oh oh oh oh, it's time!
It's one puppy! Her name is Cloud. Cloud Weaver. That's cute until she's sold and becomes something else I guess.
Grady grabs her right away. Finally a pupper small enough for him to lift!
"Thank you for being nice to my baby, favourite little hooman"
Meredith is excited for a puppy too, but has already directed Ellie and Claw to make more. One puppy does not make a dog breeding business!
She also helps her dad out with the garden. The crops for this season is cucumbers.
"I'm sorry Mrs Ellsworth, but we're not currently selling any fabric."
"Well, when will you? I have children to dress to impress."
"Oh, speaking of children, we really do like that son of yours around here."
Clarity might have higher expectations for Sven, because she left right after this.
Grady grew into a child! He's cute and again the game gifted me with clothes I don't have to change!
He helps out with the dogs and makes friend with Cloud.
Poor Hannes. I keep trying to let him do things to raise his aspiration, but he keeps failing at it. We'll try birdwatching next time, Sweetie.

That's the end of the season. I had a lot of fun and there was so much to take pictures of, from puppies to teen romances, puppies, and cuteness with the dogs.
They paid their tax and rent of 400 and managed the fine of 500 for not meeting their quota, and even had a little leftover. Not enough to reduce their debt though, which has now grown to 4.494 simoleons. Maybe next time.
I had such fun playing the Weaver family this time, probably because there were no twin toddlers.
The Weavers pulled 8 of cups, which means they weren't allowed to spend time on their main product this round. Their main product is silk fabric. They were allowed harvest and refill all passive steps, so harvesting, feeding the silkworms etc, but not allowed to use the cocoon boiler or the loom. This meant they had no chance of meeting their quota and their main job this round was getting enough money so they could pay the fine instead.
They rolled 150 simoleons spent on decorations (I gave them a wallpaper in their sitting room), and 6 pieces of furniture but they didn't have money for more than 2. Next time for sure though
Little Grady is growing and Hannes spends a lot of time taking care of him.
But he's also been given an easel, and has started to paint in his free time. This room is the one that got the wallpaper but I hadn't put it up when I took this picture.
Unable to spend time on his silk, James heads to the woods to cut some logs so they can make some more furniture. The first part of that plan worked fine, but I forgot we also needed nails and James is the only one with the skill to mine for iron and by then he'd used his designated resource lot trip already. Oh well.
Meredith managed to finish the training of the dog Claw, which means they're allowed to breed!
And we got chimes!
That same night, Meredith aged into a teenager. She rolled Family aspiration and likes black-haired athletic people of all genders who do not have beards.
She ran into Adelia Miller and they had one bolt, but we never got further than friendship. I'm also not keen on them having a future because they're both set to inherit their family farms, and that would be a hard choice for me to make.
Without being able to work on the silk, James opened their shop and did what most other families have done so far, which is to sell anything he could. Tor Ellsworth came by to buy water, for some reason, and this redhead I think is the reporter. The shop did okay actually, and earned around 500 simoleons every day it was open. We won't have saplings next season though, so James needs to start making a lot of fabric next season.
I sent Meredith to the square to see if she could find another teenager to flirt with and she has two bolts with Sven Ellsworth! That would be a great catch for her. She's not that great a catch for him, but he's been doing so much gardening that becoming a farmer seems suitable somehow. And he's such a sweet boy too.
The hay had dried and it was time for Hannes to bale it. They got a lot actually and without livestock to feed it to, James has started to sell it in the shop.
When she has free time, Meredith takes on the raising of her little brother. She loves him so much, it's so cute.
(I really need to get their house furnished and decorated, seriously)
"So, do you want to tell me about that boy?"
"I do, in fact, not."
"That's okay, but I heard you singing in the garden all day yesterday so I already like him. Whenever you're ready, sweetie."
Speaking of the boy, Sven came by one evening and they had their first date. It went really well and Meredith was happy. We'll see how Sven feels when we get to his household in about three or four families.
Ellie and Claw like each other :)
They also like making a mess :( I guess it's my fault for not directing someone to feed them but come on guys, that's just gross. We're gonna get cockroaches now!
The shop continued to go well, and Elizabeth McCleary bought some coal while Mariah Blackman bought a sapling she can't plant because she lives in an apartment.
Ellie practised her puppy soothing skills on little Grady
And I'm cutting it here because I'm gonna run out of pictures. I took a loooot of pictures.
