Entry 5: Simplicity vs. Complexity
As we were all taught as kids, too much of something is not good and too little of something is just as bad. My mom used to always say this to me as a kid, so I grew to adapt the perspective on things where they shouldn't be simple nor complex. This lecture in “Simplicity vs. Complexity” really struck a chord in that little girl’s heart.

In my opinion, I would say it is time to stop exaggerating something once you reach a point in which the thing you are creating functions and is fit for its purpose without making complex for no particular reason. Something I found quite important in this lecture is when Professor Carlos mentioned that designers tend to add needless complexity to their designs and some oversimplify them. Which to me just proves that if something is too complex some people may not want to use it, but then again if it’s too simple people may not want it either. Therefore, your best shot is to find a balance.
