A Seattle LGBTQIA clinic is run by an openly racist possible TERF who has repeatedly been pressuring trans PoC to go off hormones
Simon Taylor runs/practices at the Reclaiming Our Bodies clinic in Seattle.
At that clinic they’ve been:
Pressuring people to go off hormones (even those who are post-hysto/orchi) early without a medical reason
Baselessly accusing trans PoC of abusing medication and hormones
Falsely diagnosing trans people with “hormonal imbalances” without blood tests when they complain about mistreatment
Making insulting and fetishistic comments about their patients’ bodies
Aggressively trying to convince trans people that they’re not trans
Openly laughing at their patients
Insisting on diving deep into their patients’ traumas/triggers during intake and weaponising these triggers against them
Openly tells trans patients that transitioning is pointless for them
They are relentlessly negative about taking hormones and their effects
Simon Taylor has weaponized the police on trans PoC patients asking about their mistreatment, and has repeatedly broken HIPAA, giving out personal and medical info to the police, even as the police informed them they were breaking HIPAA.
Simon Taylor has issued letters threatening legal reprisal to former patients who have spoken out or left bad reviews, only walking back those threats after the reviews were taken down.
Simon Taylor is rated low on every medical review site online for a reason and has been reported to the WA state board of nursing for their actions. They remove all Google reviews that they can, and their single positive review seems to be written by them.
They are blatantly targeting trans folk and people of color in the community. Their motives in establishing the clinic are very questionable, as they clearly don’t want to provide hormones, and appointments with them are largely about coercing people off them.
