- emily’s reaction to will and JJ getting engaged mirrors the scene of matt ad kristy’s baby shower and the moment they both let an expression slip.

- luke and emily both have small attempts at romantic relationships in the show but they fall through or are left significantly brief.

- matt and jj are both characters that rely on questioning they are inquisitive and ask a lot of questions a reason why we often see them in interrogation settings. They both question a lot of things even theirselves and their worth.

- very much each others comfort!!! JJ pictures emily coming to save her when she is kidnapped and emily has a nightmare where JJ falls victim to a case she had been working with. Matt is the one to take the gun from luke in 14x06 and bring him back into a sense of reality. Matt chooses luke to spend time time with after the birth of rose.

- also the most simple point is the eye contact these guys can’t help but dote on each other, if you walk in for a yearning competition and these guys are there leave because you’re not winning!!
