An AU collection of epic proportions, counting over 414 k words and growing, that follows the Finweans as New Yorkers moving West c. 1850. Get ready to meet Manwe the state governor, Morgoth his ex-criminal brother and an Irish Finwe, and see how things are both the same and different. So far - I have only really started - the authors treat everybody with compassion, offering great characterizations and a rollercoaster of emotions, but the greatest joy is actually in seeing how the setting affects the events and relations and the pure cleverness that went into crafting this ‘verse.
