CRI&P locomotive, engine number 642, engine type 4-4-0 Left side view of engine; stored, with parts missing. Photographed: Silvis, Ill., September 28, 1929.
Here comes 3985! por steve55126 Por Flickr: For the first time, UP 4-6-6-4 No. 3985 enters the Railroading Heritage of Midwest America ex-Rock Island shop in Silvis, Ill. RRHMA crews had spent a lot of time cleaning up the shop and it really showed. The place is more than large enough to handle rebuilding 3985, and has an overhead crane that can lift the boiler off the frame, which needs to be done as 3985 has some issues on the bottom of the boiler. Here's hoping she's back under steam soon!
Quad Cities Rocket
As the Lafayette coal train clears the scene, Rock Island E8 652 heads east with the Quad Cities Rocket at Silvis. July 1, 1975

And speaking of the Capn’ here’s a recent commission I did for him. He wanted something involving his characters Amber, Ayo and Silvis from his series Monstrous Appeal. So I took the most me approach and threw them in swimsuits I MEAN made them go on a tropical vacay! http://blargen69.deviantart.com/art/COM-Monstrous-Vacay-655274686
