I like speedran this because of like uhhh I was scared the progress wouldn’t save

concept doodles from 2023 vs. Sill's current design. Originally meant for his ordeal to be something along the lines of 'vampires as a queer allegory'. That concept and the story it was a part of where always super loose and I wasn't particularly attached to them. Then suddenly like a year later I was hit by a flash of inspiration the likes of which I had not experienced in years and went. You know what? I was kinda onto something with those designs. Might as well reuse and refine them. Sill has changed significantly story and personality wise since then.

#suggestive #sill #ocs #old art #guy who has long stopped seeing himself as human but is completely unaware of the Implications that come with that mindset #guy who somehow still manages to dehumanize himself further #guy who doesn't fully believe that good people actually exist and yet his drive to help the people around him is near compulsory #Both him and Ruedin have a certain cynicism to the way they view the world yet they deal with that cynicism in completely different ways #Then again Sill's mindset has some nuance to it that Ruedin's is definitely lacking #honestly personality wise I don't even remember that much about original Sill #there was some element of different façades based on what environment he's in (hence the disguise) but that's about all I really remember #that aspect has kiiiinda remained but those façades have completely different connotations now

I'm very tempted to take up fishing, just for the lolz of using these
