A present I kept meaning to post 😋!

I've started drawing again... not a lot, but enough to make me smile. And I was playing around with some brushes =D

Inktober2021 || Day 20: Sprout

It's been a long while since I've seen the drawings from Punderworld around on the socials and I always loved the drawing style and the designs of the characters... with a theme like Sprout, how could I not draw Persephone? Punderworld is a comic by @sigeel about the love story of Hades and Persephone! The storytelling is pleasantly light and smooth and the art is amazing, go check it out!

Did you ever think I regretted it?

Do you think me so quick to hide the truth?

I wanted nothing more than this freedom.

I wanted nothing more than you.

I would do it all again.

I would do it a million times,

For myself, for you.

For us.

Mamá never approved of you.

But she doesn't know how you set me free.

Even though it is you that now coaxes the most brilliant spring from me.

My death and undoing.

You wrecked havoc,

Upon every chain and cage,

Helped me leave that world behind,

A distant,

Wistful ruin.

But I do not simply love you for my liberty,

It is foolish to even think that.

I love you for what you ignite in me,

For how I delight in every little act together,

Be it ruling or heavy slumber.

For you understand,

What's it's like, to be misunderstood.

They think you a cold-hearted tyrant,

Oh, if only they knew the truth.

My gentle king of darkness,

Your words are thunder,

And yet the singing of a lark.

You knew what I was.

You understood the odds of

A life Goddess that loved the dark.

I Didn't give my love for you a single doubt.

And you loved me as I defied the fates themselves,

I defiantly bit into the fruit,

Without leaving my home so much as a final glance.

I love you.

And I forever will.

I would.

Yes.

I would.

Forever is not enough to know you.

But for what we have,

Nothing I've ever experienced has felt so wicked,

So wild,

So brokenly beautiful.

Yes.

Do you need answer more than my words still?
