Is it cheating if your with a boy who is hooking up with other girls but he doesn't even let you talk to other guys? It may not be cheating assuming your relationship isn't elusive but it's definitely not fair. Loyalty and monogamy may not be important to everyone but if you're in an open relationship its not fair if only one side of the couple can explore. Being in a relationship where infidelity is only accepted by one member is not fair. If a boy doesn't find value in you why should he insist you only find value in him? So what is the “side hoe” concept? Well if you not familiar with this term a “side hoe” is the girl on the side. The woman who is involved with a man who's has other partners but she is not his top priority. A side hoe is the other woman. And while you may totally think that is okay, I know I wouldn't want to be someones booty call. Being the side girl can be really emotionally degrading. It can make a girl feel as if she is not worthy of someones attention or that she's simply not good enough. I've seen it a thousand times a girl is constantly fighting for a boys attention and it starts to take over her head. She starts doubting her self-worth just because one boy cant commit. It makes me so sad to watch because some girls are unintentionally doing it to themselves when they get involved with a man who already has a girl. The worst part of this whole situation is woman start to get mad at other women, we start competing with each other for men's attention. I'll use a personal example, one year my friend and I were interested in the same guy. Somehow he managed to play both of us at the same time, and when we found out we got mad at each other instead of the boy. He was the one with two people! We got too wrapped up in wanting his attention, and that's the danger of being with a man with more than one interest. When you stuck in the middle of a situation like this it seems like the worst thing in the world but when you look back you realize that it was just silly. Fighting over someone else’s attention isn't worth your time. Trust me you don't need them. However, if you are currently stuck in the middle of a situation similar to this step back and consider these three things. 1.) Is this person worth your time? 2.) Are you putting your self first? And 3.) Are you blaming the other girl in the situation? Taking time to ask yourself these questions gives you an opportunity to look at the situation with a new perspective. There is nothing wrong with wanting monogamy in a relationship. You just need to advocate for what you want.
