Self Insert CCC

The time to talk about the Self-Insert Content Creation Challenge (SICCC) has come!
It’s come to my attention that some of you have similar doubts when it comes to this subject, so allow me to explain.
🌸What’s a SICCC? A Self-Insert CCC is a content creation challenge. It’s an event that you can join by writing fanfics, doing fanart, mood boards, playlists, videos, gifs, edits, etc., about you and your F/O.
🌸 Can it be platonic? Absolutely! You can ship yourself with a character and have a lovely friendship, for example.
🌸When writing SI fics what person should I write in? I’ve been thinking about this one question myself. The answer I got is to write in whatever person you feel more comfortable in. I may do so in the first or third person singular. I will most likely avoid the second person as that’s what I usually go for when writing reader- inserts. Ultimately, I’ll do what feels right for me and I encourage you all to do the same.
🌸 What’s the purpose of this event? Well, aside from having fun, this event in particular aims to spread some positivity about body image. Consider this one, a self-care event. It’s about giving love to what we consider to be our flaws physical or otherwise. I’m very excited, ngl ♥
🌸 Are OCs allowed? OCs are not the focus of this challenge. However, if creating with them makes it easier for you to accept parts of yourself, you are welcome to submit works involving them. The journey to self-love looks different for everybody, after all. Just bear in mind that the main goal of this event is to channel love for things that are hard to deal with like grey hair, body hair, fat tummies, thighs, the one mole you find hard to love, etc.
