Schwick yaaaaay

This guy is such a fun character, damn shame he only appeared in one episode but I suppose it adds to his charm.

This is a quicker piece, probably finished in like half an hour but I think it’s neat for what it is.

Saw this and. Apparently Shwick is thought to be in Ball of Revenge? Not in the actual ep but the voice in the little end card thing.

Can someone help me confirm this? For the life of me I can’t tell if it’s really him or what is even being said. Here it is:

Cajun Fox enjoys holidays, specifically Halloween, Thanksgiving and the December-January holidays. He takes pride in his cooking and such celebrations are a perfect opportunity to show off and try new recipes.

This next one is kinda weird but there are other moon-related spirits. The Spirit of the Harvest Moon is one of the more normal-looking ones...

Shirley has at least one sibling. They’re distant but they do try to keep in touch.

While he was alive, Ramses was a pretty decent person. By the end of his life he was a bit jaded but for the most part he was just,,, a nice dude, yknow? High sense of morality and pretty disciplined.

Like I said in my last headcanon posts, I believe most arthropods in the Courage universe are all artificial, supernatural, mutated, or more than one of those.

Katz’s spiders are heavily genetically modified, like clones or something. He probably made them himself.

[Schwick Time]

Schwick is like, lowkey an abomination. His “species” are all a bunch of insects living in some weird parallel plane.

The whole “lure people and commit murder via creature behind a door” shtick is basically his entire life besides a few other jobs he needs to do. What/whoever is behind the door is either another member of the same species or another horrific beast that they tend to and/or worship.

Sometimes he forgets most people don’t come from a vat of primordial slurry.

And uh,,, that’s it, really.

I’d like to imagine he has a love-hate relationship with art n stuff.

Cause like,, New York has lots of different arts. Broadway, Radio City Music Hall (which appears in the episode), and even Bushwick itself has a lot of art iirc.

He’s grown up surrounded by art and learned to enjoy it. Still, Schwick... doesn’t really have much hobbies. He prides himself on working diligently, and downplays/hides other interests to appear more serious. He casually enjoys art, but being the secretive and argumentative roach he is, he won’t be talking about any of it any time soon.

Even then, he’s pretty critical about it, too. He hates overly emotional and symbolic works.

Honestly his view is that some artists are respectable and others are overly passionate and, therefore, easy to manipulate.

Which is why he frequents areas such as the Music Hall and Broadway.

Like I said in my last headcanons post, Schwick is basically part of a faction of (most likely artificially created) insect creatures. I mean I headcanon that most Arthropods in CTCD are just Like That but this dude in particular has a strange backstory that TOTALLY WAS NOT INSPIRED BY A MIKE FLANAGAN FILM-

As a result of this upbringing he occasionally forgets that some people aren’t necessarily just... created. He doesn’t talk about a lot of his personal life because of that.

Well, that and the fact that he’s just secretive and untrusting in general. Like, you could ask him his favorite color or something and he’d probably either avoid or flat out refuse to answer the question as if you’d use it against him.

He’s... a bit more open to other people inside what small and criminal social circles he’s somehow a part of. Even then, Schwick is more of a loner, and he doesn’t like relying on others. He only has like... two other friends.

Schwick drinks a lot of coffee. There’s been quite a few days where he’s had about 10-15 cups just to get through they day (or night)

Did I mention this dummy’s sleep schedule is nonexistent? Someone tell this bastard to TAKE A NAP.
