Carried by the Wind: Tsukikage Ran Ep 6: The Mole Was in the Wrong Place
A case of mistaken identity. Meow and her female Ronin companion, Tsukikage Ran, arrives at a post town aka Shukuba to rest from their travels but find themselves at odds with the locals who accused them for numerous attacking incidents elsewhere and their presence caught the attention of the local authorities who thinks they fit the description of wanted criminals.

A lesser known “post station” or “shukuba” where travelers could rest before resuming their journey along the route connecting Wakasa and Kyoto in the old days. Like Narai Juku, the town is preserved that even the water still continues to run through the town’s old irrigation canal.
Narai Juku, Nagano by 日本
A route connecting Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto during the Edo Period called, the Nakasendo Trail, which was one of the most traversed by travelers, making it a hot spot “post town” or “shukuba” where travelers could rest and rejuvenate, either for a while or overnight before resuming their long journey.
Narai Juku was number 34 of the 69 various stations along Nakasendo, and still today marks the mid-way point of the entire route. Whilst majority of the shukuba have been demolished overtime and replaced by modern establishments, there are still a handful which have been beautifully preserved.
