I like to think of Zalgo and Slender as enemies, but also not as enemies. They dislike each other. Slender sees Zalgo as some spoiled demon king whose ego is way too fragile and pride way too big. And Zalgo just thinks Slender’s tryna one-up him all the time when bro is just trying to get from point A to point B.
But they won’t break into a fight everytime they see each other yk? It’s like “I acknowledge you but there’s no respect.” When they do fight, there’s definitely property damage, but it’s always more of a threat than an actual fight. Nobody leaves with long sustaining injuries or trauma, kinda just part their own ways after their done fighting.
I feel like Zalgo also annoys Slender A LOT like, just to get a rise out of him because he’s sick of seeing the same blank empty face. He feels good whenever he can get an emotion (because bro is so nonchalant it annoys Zalgo), whether it be his tendrils twitching slightly, or Slender exhales just a bit too heavily.
Zalgo definitely does put Slender in the “I should get rid of him” list, while Slender just kinda sees him as this nobody who’s just irritating enough to get his attention. So Zalgo places Slender as a higher priority than Slender places Zalgo. In fact Slender probably has him towards the bottom of the list.
They have different realms, but once in a while, Zalgo kinda just goes to Slender’s mansion just to add onto his problems. Slender can’t really chase him out, because one, will Zalgo even listen or care, and two, he really doesn’t want to start fighting while in his mansion. He’d rather not have his mansion at the verge of collapsing every month.
I think this dynamic is funny, mostly because Zalgo is the problem and Slender’s kinda a victim to Zalgo’s tactics 😭
