Favorite thing about them: In canon it has to be his protectiveness over his friends. Like, he is The Protector, The Fighter, of the group. I love that about him.

Least Favorite thing about them: Jealousy, for sure. It gets a little old after a while, and he can be sooooo moody. I love a little moodiness but sometimes it gets to a point…

Favorite line: “I’ll knock your block off, you dumb block head!”

brOTP: Can I say both Oddrich and Jerrich? Oddrich obviously I also ship but them as friends first and foremost is just so so good. And then I really do think Jeremie and Ulrich are like…very close. We see inklings of it here and there in canon, but yeah :’)

OTP: Ulumi (Ulrich/Yumi), with Oddrich (Odd/Ulrich) as a close second.

nOTP: Probably Jerrich (Jeremie/Ulrich). There’s honestly not a lot of people I won’t ship him with, though.

Random Headcanon: He’s dyslexic. He also struggles with worrying that he’ll turn out abusive like his father is, so when he’s moody or his temper flares I definitely headcanon that he needs to go cool off and be by himself and have a think on all of that.

Unpopular Opinion: Fuccckkkk idk??? As we allllll know I’m super opinionated and mostly stick to my sandbox versions of them? I guess while I love Ulumi I don’t always think that’s the best ship for him because of the way the show runners made all the drama. But that’s why we have fanfic to make Ulumi better and also ship him with half the cast!

Aelita: I actually think she would love the Great British Bake Off. That would be her comfort show. Think about it, it's calm, it's low-stimulation, a lot of stuff ends up being pink! I think for this reason she'd get really into baking, but initially she would be so bad at it. So much so that Jer, Ulrich, and Yumi all have a silent agreement to not tell her how bad she is, but Odd with the emotional tact of a bull in a china shop tells her that her baked goods are TERRIBLE and she immediately comes back out covered in flour and demanding they try the next iterations of her cookies.

Jeremie: Definitely meal preps so he has exactly what he wants and needs for every meal, mostly out of convenience and having the same food textures and tastes so that he doesn't get the ick. Absolutely follows the "Best By" dates to the second. If something passed the best by date that morning at 12:00am, he is not eating it.

Ulrich: He is my baby boy and I determine that he is probably so lazy about cooking until he isn't. I liked @justgrace13's idea that he eventually meal preps and gets into macros and stuff, and I think that definitely makes sense for working out and doing martial arts, but I also think he would much rather let someone else cook or order takeout.

Odd: Burns everything, even water. Do not let him multitask when cooking because your kitchen will be up in flames after he decides to do about 800 tasks in between watching what's on the stove.

Headcanons for Rosa Petitjean: I know that she (and Jim) is kind of bumbling for the comedic effect but I have a few more serious headcanons for her. In BMR she’s Ulrich’s family’s nanny/caretaker/maid and Ulrich feels like she’s the only thing that kept him emotionally tethered. He kind of relies on her presence as a tool to keep him from turning out like his dad, which he would never turn out that way but for him she’s like the mother figure who keeps him in line. In general I think she has so much potential as a mother figure to the kids in fanfiction (I believe it was @yoshistack who wrote a story about the teachers noticing the bruises on the LW’s which I definitely think Rosa would notice…like imagine if Odd was bruised up and one day didn’t have an appetite??? She’d notice) and I think she’d especially care a lot for Odd and Ulrich. In turn I think they’re fond of her, too.

Advice: Well…when I figure that out I’ll let you know. I think the reason I have so many ideas but not a lot of writing to show for it is because I will have to build back up to the writing level and style I had in the last few chapters of BMR. I think that writing was amazing and I psych myself out that I’ll never be that good again. I think starting off first with reading more, and then outlining, and then working your way up to fleshing stuff out is really beneficial to get back into it.

24. What’s a hobby you tell yourself that you’ll do once you retire?

I’m actually quite fortunate that I do live my life at the same time as working, including things like travel and doing my hobbies and such. I think instead of wanting to do something when I retire it’s more that I want to do something when I finally move into a big enough space and that would be…woodworking! I wanna make furniture that can be handed down for generations, I think that would be a great legacy.

26. What’s a big accomplishment you’re proud of?

This year I actually finally graduated with my master’s! It was a long time coming and a huge labor of love. I stuck it out despite for half of it being dead broke and having to work multiple jobs to cover tuition and also losing my main support person to cancer. I’m just really proud that I made it through. Walking across the stage with my diploma was such a great moment. 🥹

5. What was the first fanfic you ever read?

I started reading fanfiction about 14 years ago, so I don’t remember which was the exact first that I read but it was probably a Supernatural one shot of some sort and was probably whumpy/angsty. The first fandom that I truly got into fanfiction for (where I was just devouring fanworks left, right, and center) was actually Shameless US! I’m a big Gallavich shipper and I even helped mod a blog where we helped find fics that people couldn’t remember the title of, lol. Since we’re both into CL, I’ll tell you that I only really got into CL fanfic during the pandemic. Prior to that I’d been writing my own stuff but just didn’t think to post it to AO3 or figure out if there were other fans online. Glad to have met some amazing people, though, not just for CL but Resident Evil and other fandoms, too!

9. Tell me a piece of gossip.

I’ve been watching a shit ton of trash television, which is definitely aiding in inspiring my new fic idea, but right now I’m kind of obsessed with Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Is it gossip that Shookethspeare watches trash tv?
