Yeah okay buddy. We’re being toxic by wanting some representation and thriving off of what actual canon rep we’ve been given, while every other piece of media is straight and cis or even worse, homophobic and transphobic, we are really just living the dream here (those of us in the community) with the many canon gay and trans couples we’ve been given. It’s not toxic. Its making sure that our rare representation is not being erased.

Our headcanons on every other straight cis character doesn’t hurt you in the slightest. Because guess what? Look anywhere. There’s your rep. There, there, there. In every movie, every play, every song, every book, nearly everyone you meet...there’s your representation. Excuse me if people like me and my fellow lgbt friends like to have this safe haven for our media reflections and the mere possibility of having gay and genderqueer characters at all.

Saying that characters don’t have gender and therefore cannot be gay is erasure. We fully support nb robots!! Guys that’s literally awesome, considering I know some of us are nb or use gender neutral pronouns. But using that excuse is some homophobia buddy. Watch what you say, analyze your privilege, and you won’t be “rallied against”.
