Okay. Iβll be honest. I suspect Iβve answered most of these with ShockLine before, in one way or another, but I really want to pick them because of the last question specifically.
Whatβs the one fight that almost ended them?
It was of course the massive public fight they had after Flatline discovered the truth about why Shockwave agreed to their relationship. You can ask anybody who was there that day, Autobot or Decepticon, and theyβll be able to tell you how wild it was for two guys to suddenly have a huge personal falling out in the middle of an active battlefield. Itβs not hyperbole that Flatline nearly killed Shockwave.
Flatline does not open up easily, and he believes that deep down, no-one really wants to be around him. Finding out that Shockwave was under orders from Megatron felt like a slap in the face, and he didnβt want anything to do with Shockwave after that. Shockwave had to fight tooth and nail to prove himself, and prove the fact his feelings had since become genuine, to Flatline.
Who is bolder in public (hand-holding, kisses, etc.)?
Flatline takes the cake on boldness. He has been into Shockwave since day one and heβs made sure thatβs known. Flirting, casual touches, hand-holding, Shocker is an ongoing victim of his conjunx being incredibly affectionate. (Flatline is also bolder in public in general so that contributes to it). The difference nowadays is Shockwave considers himself an expert on the required quotas of reciprocation and initiation.
How do they act when one of them is sick?
These two are the most stubborn and hypocritical bastards when it comes to being sick. βNo, I'm fine enough to work.β βNo, I can handle this by myself.β. When one of them is sick, the other has to be firm about it so they stop and rest and donβt try to go walkabouts.
If they could go back in time, what moment would they relive together?
For Shockwave, he would revisit the night they talked about Cybertron, and Flatline told him about his past. That was the moment when he felt a connection with Flatline for the first time. The beginning of wanting Flatline to be a part of his life forever. Also, he was quite caught off guard in the moment, so by going back he would be able to appreciate and analyse it better.
For Flatlineβ¦He loves Shockwave. But if he is ever in a situation that gives him an opportunity to go back in time, there is only one thing on his mind heβd feel borderline-compelled to do. Flatline would find his past self and give him the exact date to avoid the district where he got caught - attempting to prevent the moment that ruined his life. Yes, the change in timeline does mean Flatline and Shockwave might end up never crossing paths. But he wouldnβt consider or care about the consequences until itβs too late.
