They struggle to keep their heads above water, until one fateful night where everything unravels. It couldn't end any other way, but those poor kids.

151. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 16 - unlicensed - Serge has taken Gilbert and fled from school and Auguste's schemes to try to eke out a living in Paris. The two boys get jobs at a bistro and find a cheap attic apartment, but every moment of joy is paid for in pain. I just want to see them be happy!

141. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 15 - unlicensed - Serge finds out what's really been happening with Gilbert, and puts his body on the line to stop it. When this leads Auguste to escalate his schemes, Serge is moved to follow in his father's footsteps. Is it naive to hope for a happier ending this time?

131. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 14 - unlicensed - With the help of his friends, Serge breaks out of the dorm at night to catch Gilbert before he can make it all the way to Auguste in Marseille. Afterwards, they appear to reach an understanding and grow closer as lovers, but happiness is fleeting here.

121. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 13 - unlicensed - Auguste has always been a malevolent figure, but he really puts himself into the role in this volume, showing Serge how dark and twisted he's willing to be to maintain his control of Gilbert. I need this man to get his dick pulled off in an "accident".

111. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 12 - unlicensed - After surviving colds, finals, and violent upperclassmen, Serge and Gilbert reach their summer break, which they spend together at school quite happily until Auguste summons them to his estate. Nothing's more ominous than happy times in this series.

101. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 11 - unlicensed - The story moves back to the boys at school, but their families and pasts aren't done with them yet, as Gilbert's uncle Auguste involves Serge in his schemes. Both boys are treated terribly in this volume, and I just want to auntie smash some heads.

91. Kaze to Ki no Uta, Vol. 10 - unlicensed - Serge's backstory concludes, sending us back to the academy, where Gilbert continues to trade his affections for a bit of control, and Serge struggles with how to handle him. Seeing the boys' childhoods explains so much about how they behave at school.
