I spent the first half of my birthday today driving 1/2 a mile of pipe and posts for a barb wire fence out south of Marfa. I'll spend the next half having a beer or three at Harry's Tinaja, then heading to my house to have dinner with my new neighbor. Tomorrow, I'll be loading up my truck and trailer to head to Austin to make the final prep for my installation at Art Of The Brew, and Iook forward to celebrating further with many of you there. Been an awesome day so far, and the year ahead holds many adventures and good times. I appreciate all of the birthday wishes, and I am thankful for all of you good people in this world! #shitdang! According to Sam, the guy who owns this property across from Bowls & Tacos recently sold some of his other properties in Deep Ellum and promptly used a presumably small portion of the earnings on this paint job, completed with paint rollers. All the way down to the entire parking lot and up to the roof and even the TV antenna. What a guy! #shitdang (at Bowls & Tacos)

Just got off of a conference call with Chris from Art Of The Brew and Hayden and Brad from NXNW, discussing our plan to bring you an excellent pairing of art and beer at the 5th annual AOTB on September 2. They're making the beer, I'm making the largest #shitdang! piece the world has ever seen. Day 11: Unleaded. Salida was a blast, and after an ass hauling ride to Leadville, the cyclists and crew set out upon the old mining town, sitting just above 10K' elevation. The bus got a super shine on the interior, and most everyone met the same local throughout the day, our new friend, Earl. We ended the night at the delightful Silver Dollar Saloon, a bar with the look and feel of a brothel in the Old West, complete with an actual noose hanging from one of the rafters that was allegedly last used as recently as the 1980s. Today, Day 12, we're heading through Rocky Mountain National Park to Granby, tomorrow into Boulder, then Sunday we'll finally arrive at our final destination, @FallingRockTap in Denver.
