My parents treat me like I'm fragile and cannot handle real life and constantly need them to hold my hand through things and they stay "concerned" about me because I live my life after a traumatic childhood which they put me through but will never admit it and blame my innate weakness for the same and I feel utterly infantalized so my question is which mental illness do I have?
Does anyone else have a parent that holds money over you like they own you? Or is that just me?

I know my parents aren't technically Boomers, but they do dumbass Boomer™ shit so like...can I still use "Ok, Boomer" against them when they're degrading younger generations and just basically saying derogatory "back in my day" bullshit?

Hello. I’m making this on the behalf of my girlfriend because she quite literally has only one cent to her name right now and the rest of her family isn’t doing much better, having to spend money they just do not have the luxury of spending at this moment. They’ve had to very suddenly relocate her sister to their dad’s house since their mother tossed her sister out even though she had already agreed to let her reside there until she could find her own place so they’ve had to get a large amount of supplies to accommodate for that (actually, her mother had just been acting pretty deplorable in general, being rather controlling, essentially extorting my girlfriend for money despite no longer having a source of income and with this recent incident slamming a door into her multiple times to give a few examples). Honestly, anything at all would be helpful. Like, seriously, we’re kinda desperate here (as me making this post would probably indicate lmao)

It’s honestly baffling how my parents always bashed me or ever expressing my opinion or managed to find a way to tell me my opinion was worth nothing, basically just making me feel invalidated in general, and now get mad that I always “go with the flow” and “act like a robot” whenever they ask me for my opinion.
