Here is our overall data from AO3 today:

Cool cool! Look at SidGeno go!  Here is the graph of changes overall since I’ve been tracking (four months now very proud):

Cool! I mean generally you can see how the higher up on the graph the lines are, the more they trend upwards. Makes sense.

Here’s just SidGeno and 1988:

In fact, wildly interesting! Those are some large swings! The Hawks had such an advantage from all those YEARS of SUCCESS (and pre allegations), but the Penguins are dogged and determined and they are writing at a very rapid clip and here we are.

The middle boys:

I love Jamie and Tyler, but they are still far enough ahead that they make this graph not terribly helpful. Interestingly, they are growing at a slower clip than Auston and Mitch OR Ovi and Nicky, pretty consistently.

Speaking of - last month there was a Caps Exchange and Russian Machine and his other center rocketed up, and this month the Leafs...Leafsed.

And here is the bottom ships, the ones that have enough for AO3 to show but not like, A TON:

That McStrome line is a wacky time, huh, but they sure are up there! I’m not sure the Gallys or the Eberle/Hall fics are ever gonna be added to much, but an angel DID get its wings this month cuz someone wrote another Jeff Carter/Mike Richards fic.

Lastly, how many fics were written for each ship this month:

Look at that LOOK AT THAT! Sidgeno FINALLY catches up to the Trashhawks, what a GODDAMN WORLD. The theme of this month is ‘fic exchanges make a difference’ and ‘its sad when people delete things.’

Here are just Patrick Kane/Jonathan Toews compared to Sidney Crosby/Evgeni Malkin: 

LOOK AT THAT. I looked around a little, and it looks like there was a SidGeno Spook Fest thing that posted on Halloween, of course, so thats what put them over the edge. But if you look at the graphs, SidGeno has been adding way more rapidly than the Hawks for awhile now. Whoo hoo

Not a ton to talk about in the middle range, except that this month Nicky and Ovie did way better than Auston and Mitch. Turns out there was a Capitals fic exchange too! Figures

And down here at the bottom, we are forced to reckon with the fact that sometimes people delete fics. Who knows why! That McDavid/Strome line is very upsetting, isn’t it, and now they are exactly tied w the Gallys again so thats interesting. 

I also made a graph of how many fics were added per ship this past month, which is interesting in itself: 

So yeah, Sidgeno, and Nicky/Ovie. And Tyler and Jamie did well too (Stars were playing well for a hot second there and they’ve been hanging out a bunch). 

But also, some ANGEL wrote a new Carts/Ritchie fic, which is a wondrous miracle we can all start our Novembers with. Don’t forget to vote if you are in the US!

Here’s the graph of ALL of the ships, which ends up being kind of hard to read since the Trash and SidGeno are SO far ahead of everyone else so it’s all stretched out:

See, here I thought that SidGeno would surpass them this month, but, joke’s on me cuz I forgot that people sure still are writing Blackhawks fic here in the year of our lord 2018. Oh well! The Penguins are catching up tho, look at that derivative

Here’s the middle bunch - the Stars, the Leafs, the Caps:

Everyone is actually doing really well - thats what a contract extension, a Tavares, and still having a Stanley Cup will do for you! 18 new Bennguin, 20 new Marnthews (?), 6 new 819.

And here’s the fairly stable bottom ships (which are mostly dudes who arent on the same team any more aw):

Excitement! It only 6 new fics, but Connor and Dylan have surpassed the Gallys (RIP). Cool! I love that Brioux is just like, steadily chilling there too.
