Wells, England:  The smallest city in England with Medieval and English Gothic architecture.  Overall this little city is quiet peaceful, historic, and very grounded with the magnificent Wells Cathedral built in the 12th century (opened 1239) and dedicated to the apostle, St. Andrew.  Most of these little cities close up at 5pm, or as they would say in England, 17 hundred.  However, my favorite site here was Bishop’s Palace Gardens (constructed 1210) the home to bishops and monks for 800 years.  See images here.  An easy day trip and walk of the city is more than delightful and relaxing.

An 18th century church converted into a hostel here in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am not going to lie, staying in hostels week-after-week, month-after-month is not easy. Some don’t have heat, others the bathrooms are in a cold and dark basement, beds aren’t good for the back...but I do focus on the good like, blessed I have a place to stay, warm and clean water to shower with, toilets, blankets, kitchen... The real down side is, I’ve been struggling with a lot of back issues since the beginning of my trip. Mid-back pain with ribs being of place and horrible radiating pain. I have seen 3 doctors for the pain in Bath, Manchester area, and York, but still pain. Now I move forward with different stretching techniques and no gluten. If I don’t get better soon I won’t be able to continue my sacred travels. Ancient Healings Around the World is the chapters before The Promised Land. Can I do it?!? That is the question?!? How far and long will I make it depends on my physical body and funds. One day at a time and I’ll see where the roads leads. Looking a little bleak at the moment...
