Interesting plant .. Shepherd's Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris), in the mustard family and considered a weed in many places. Comes originally from eastern Europe and Asia Minor. Apparently it’s the second most common wild plant in the world. Its seeds attract and kill nematodes as a means to locally enrich the soil so it may be useful in the garden as a “fertiliser”. It’s grown as a commercial crop in Asia and is eaten as well as fed to stock. It has numerous legitimate traditional medical uses. Was even used as a pepper substitute in the past.
