honestly guys I think that movies and tv shows should just hire sheitel people to be in charge of their wigs like I think it must be due to my orthodox upbringing but like. I can ALWAYS tell when someone is wearing a wig. and they're usually terrible.

Also, just ‘cause you run a cosplay blog and I really wanted to share this: I played Jessica (Shylock’s daughter) in The Merchant of Venice a couple years ago, and the costumer asked me for help with the Jewish side of it, so I showed all the ladies who were playing Jewish women how to wrap and pin sheitels. They got really good at it by halfway through the run.

I just saw your post about having sheitel people do wigs for stuff, and I totally agree. I don’t wear a sheitel, since I’m neither married nor orthodox, but I actually know how to put one on and wrap it, since I did that for a stage makeup class where we were making ourselves into our older selves and I felt like making myself look like a yenta, so I looked up videos of how to wrap a sheitel. And I have to admit it really makes it so much easier to work with wigs when you know how to do that.

I think some of your followers may be confusing sheitels (wigs) and tichels (headscarves)...which is fair as it took me years to remember which one was which and I live in a community that wears them lol
