she’s  never  made  it  a  secret  that,  while  she  likes  both  men  and  women,  she  has  a  significant  preference  for  girls,  but  clarke  is…  clarke  is  on  a  whole  other  level.  from  the  first  day  she  met  her,  viviana  knew  that  there  was  something  special  about  clarke  griffin.  now  she  knows  that  there  are  many  special  aspects  to  her.  and  she  loves  them  all.  she  may  even  love  her. 

but…  if  she  does,  she’s  not  ready  yet  to  tell  her.  just  the  thought  of  telling  her  terrifies  viviana,  and  she’s  not  an  easy  person  to  scare.  but  she’s  never  said  those  words  to  anyone  before.

there  was  alexander.  before  vienna  got  outed  and  their  parents  were  floated.  he  was  the  only  thing  that  kept  her  alive  in  the  first  days  after  her  parents  execution.  she  was  bedridden  with  grief,  and  he  took  care  of  her.  he  made  sure  she  ate  and  helped  her  wash  her  hair  and,  most  importantly,  he  never  gave  up  on  her,  even  in  her  darkest  of  moments.  because  of  him,  she  was  able  to  rally    kill  her  uncle  for  what  he  did.  and  she  told  alex  she  loved  him  right  before  he  did  it. 

she  pushes  all  thoughts  of  love  and  alex  out  of  her  mind.  it’s  not  like  she’ll  ever  see  him  again. 

but  clarke’s  right  here,  right  beside  her.  she  feels  her  skin  under  her  fingertips,  warm  and  soft.  and  she’s  close  enough  to  feel  her  breath  on  her  face.  and  viviana  loves  her.  in  this  moment,  she  knows  she  does.  but  she’s  not  ready  to  expose  herself  like  that.  she  loves  her,  but  she’s  scared  to  love  her.
