Remember when I said yesterday that I would be doing another #teaser from "Kitsune-Tsuki Images," my short story in the forthcoming SHATTERED ILLUSIONS anthology? 

I decided to do it #today. ;) 

BUUUZZZZ!!!!

“T. J. texting?” Dee asked.

Romy looked at her phone. She looked back up smiling. The smile left. Crackerwack was a few feet away. There were no customers at the moment. However, the cashier was there. Staring. Something looked off about his eyes. Romy blinked. The cashier was suddenly busy wiping something.

“You okay?”

Romy blinked again. She looked at the concerned look on Dee’s face. She smiled.

“Uh…yeah. It’s T. J.,” Romy said. “Let’s head.”

“But Cedric—” Dee started.

“Has your number, right?” Romy asked. “Good. Mystery. Girl. Learn it.”

Dee giggled. “You so bad.”

They headed for the nearest escalator. As they started down it, Romy felt something. It was like something was crawling on her. She batted at her shoulders. Her fingers touched something, encircling. She pulled at it, looking at it. She frowned.

It was nail clippings.

Dee’s nails. 

Romy looked back at Crackerwack. The cashier was nowhere in sight.

Back at it with the writing tonight...

Sometimes you should be careful who you pick on. 

You never know what it's like to walk in their shoes...or if those shoes are DANGEROUS ones...
