The Warrior Kids sharing circle is a space where everyone gets to share and be heard. There are no judgements. We each share a low point and high point. The points could be from the past, present or even up and coming events in the future. There have been some very sad experiences shared in this space, along with scary ones and some really exciting. 💓Upcoming Women’s Circle💓 . I still remember my first women’s circle rather vividly. Sitting with a bunch of “strangers” and being asked to be vulnerable an open went against my protective mechanisms. . But a beautiful thing happened. One by one women started to open up. They started to feel more and more safe. Safe to be seen. Safe to be heard. Safe to express themselves in a way that our society may not always deem as “proper”. No wonder there is so much suffering will all these labels that are imposed on women and that we often impose on ourselves. . The process is still very similar for me. When I attend or even host circles, I feel vulnerable, like I want to cancel last minute or crawl under a rock. . But the feeling afterwards is always one of elation, of reassurance, of knowing others are going through similar experiences and if empowerment. Regardless of how many tears were shed, how much laughter was spread or how much awkwardness had to be overcome. .
