Official policy on sharing or using my comics
PLEASE NOTE: This is only MY OWN policy in regard to only MY comics -- different artists have different policies, so always evaluate on a case by case basis. This only applies to me, and absolutely not any other artist, and Iām making it because I get a lot of questions about this.
Can I repost your work to other websites?
Absolutely.
Do I have to credit you when I do that?
Not explicitly -- YouĀ DONāT have to credit me in the description or put a link to my site. The only thing is, Iād appreciate it if you left theĀ āowlturd.comā watermark that I usually put in the bottom corner. I deliberately try to make it not very intrusive.
If I forgot to put the watermark or something, or its just one of my shitposts, but of course donāt worry about it. :]
Can I print your work, for myself or friends?
Yes.
Can I use your work for educational, charity, or philanthropic purposes?
Yes!
Can i print your work and then sell it to others?
Generally, no.
What if itās for a small club or event, and Iām only āsellingā it to members to recoup the costs of printing it, and not actually making any profit?
Then yes!
Can I make something thatās derivative of, or heavily inspired by, or parodies something youāve made and sell it to others?
Of course, as long as you made it.
Voiceovers, animatics, parodies, I love all that stuff!
Can I make edits/memes of your work?
Absolutely.
But, 2 small caveats: 1. Do not edit my comics into something offensive, thatās not cool or good. 2. If youāre particularly good at editing and itās not clear that itās an edit rather than the original comic, then please make it clear! :] Obviously, in 99.9% of cases, itās clearly an edit.
What if I see somebody else posting your work without crediting you?
I appreciate people letting me know when they find this, but in 99.9% of cases, I donāt care. The only time I would care is if somebody else were explicitly claiming to be the original creator!
TDLR:
So basically, Iām not very protective. But again, this is just me. This absolutely doesnāt apply to any other artists, unless they say so. Artists with a smaller audience have many good reasons for being more protective of their work -- not crediting them impedes others from discovering them, a process that is crucial for an artist to find their audience.
Thanks you for reading this, and also for reading my comics! :]
annagawās Artwork Policies/FAQs
Updated July 2026
If youāre unsure about anything written below or have queries, the easiest thing to do is just send me a DM. Iāll try to get back to you in as timely a fashion as my brain worms will allow!
Sharing/Reposting
DO NOT share/repost my work in other online spaces without permission.
DO NOT edit/alter my work in any way without permission when sharing it. This includes, but is not limited to: removing/obscuring my tag or signature; cropping; changing colours; adding or removing backgrounds; drawing over; etc.
DO NOT post my work separately on tumblr, or other forms of social media, instead of reblogging, etc.
Printing/Book Binding
I DO give permission for my art to be used for one-off bindings, intended for personal use or as gifts.
I DO NOT give permission for my art to be reproduced on a larger scale OR for any form of profit, including but not limited to: fan bindings made for sale or other forms of distribution (even if the sale price only covers the binderās material costs); fan zines or other publications; stickers; posters; etc.
If you publicly share images of a personal bind that features my work, please DO tag and credit me/my work.
For Fanfiction Authors
If Iāve created art directly inspired by your work, youāre more than welcome, should you wish, to link to the work in question, or embed it in your fic. (If I share it to my own AO3, I'll gift it to you if possible/story permissions allow.)
NB: this applies to my fic-inspired works ONLY, which are clearly tagged. Please kindly DO NOT use my work to illustrate unrelated fics without permission.
CommissionsĀ
I have decided against offering commissions. Iām deeply flattered that people have requested this, but I donāt have the capacity nor do I want to capitalise on something that I do purely for my own enjoyment.
I would, however, strongly encourage you to make requests for any drawings youād like to see, via this very tumblr! If I can, I might. Who knows!
Additionallyā¦
Collaborations
I am still very much interested in collaborating with other creatives for future Dramione-related fan works! Mutuals, hmu!
Where Else to Find Me
This tumblr is the best location for all of my Dramione work, as it contains sketches and WIPs as well as finished pieces (as well as tedious shit like this post), however infrequently they may be posted.
I am also intermittently active on r/Dramione, though I post less of my work there. My reddit profile can be found here.
In response to Reddit requests asking me to share my work somewhere other than here, Iāve started posting a selection to AO3. You can find and follow me here - an account is required to view my work.
I have recently caved and joined instagram, where you can request to follow me here.
I hope this was all clear - Iāll update it if/when other common queries present themselves! Letās all applaud how I resisted the urge to derail things nonsensically. I am an inspiration to many.
Finally thank you, sincerely, to you fine folks of Dramione tumblr, for your consistently kind feedback and engagement! I like this community an awful lot, thanks for having me. āØ
