It’s a story of miracles and God’s awesome ability to do the impossible. Here, we see God’s ability to do the impossible, to thwart evil, to show that His kingdom reigns ALWAYS, to show that EVERY SOUL MATTERS TO GOD! God uses signs and miracles to bring people to Him, to His Son Jesus. An Angel appeared to Mary, to Joseph, to the shepherds, and a star appeared to the wise men! To this day He still does that! Guides people to Christ using signs & wonders. Never give up on a person’s ability to find Jesus. As the angel told Mary, “ALL things are possible with God. NOTHING is impossible with God.” Luke 1:76. Remember, Jesus is ENOUGH! Jesus is not some distant celestial being that’s out of touch. He knows what you’re going through, because He’s been through it Himself. Being tempted, being betrayed, being hurt both by strangers & by His closest friends. He cares about you and He wants to be involved in your life. He wants to be your center. Please let Him in. At least give Him a chance in Jesus Name. 🙏🏿 I pray His Name fills you with Hope, unrestrained Joy that causes you to leap & shout, as well as courage to do the impossible, to lay down your life for others. This Christmas, take the time away from the decorating, the partying, the food, to just sit and remember His Name. His Name is w hy we celebrate, why Christmas brings us hope, why it brings us Joy. In the midst of a pandemic, this is all the more important. Because Christmas is the story of God proving that He really loves us all & showing that His Love is for ALL humans. Every last one of us. JOY TO THE WORLD~ THE LORD IS COME! LET EARTH RECEIVE HER KING~ We all know this song right? Well, this week’s promise is centered around the message carried in this song. Specifically, the first verse, which promises Joy to the whole wide world. What is the reason for this Joy? It’s because of what happened 2000 years ago in the city of Bethlehem. Mary had given birth to Jesus, the Savior of humanity! It was in very distressing circumstances. Israel was under control by a cruel dictator & the couple themselves were outside in some stinky farm. Jesus was laid in a manger, a feeding trough for animals. That is not a sanitary place for a baby. Yet, God chose these circumstances to bring Jesus into the world. I feel that this goes to show that we can have Joy in SPITE of our circumstances. In spite of loss, betrayal, tragedy, & sorrow, we can celebrate because Jesus saved us & He is working on our behalf right now! We don’t have to see it to BELEIVE it! We can clap our hands & sing BECUASE we serve a GOOD GOD Who is on His way back to rescue us and change the world for GOOD this time, PERMANENTLY! Mary & Joseph weren’t the only people celebrating the Savior’s birth. Not too far away, An Angel came to a trio of shepherds. At first the shepherds were scared, but the Angel reassured them & told them of Jesus’ arrival! It’s interesting that the Angel came to a group of shepherds & not a group of priests or even the king himself (which turns out to be a good thing later). Shepherds were marginalized & considered lowly BECAUSE of their occupation. Yet, they were the first to hear & bear witness to the miracle of Baby Jesus. This reveals that God uses ordinary situations & people to do extraordinary things. He used a virgin to give birth to His Son. He used À fishermen to become His disciple. Just know that God can use anything & anyone. The shepherds after witnessing, decide to share the good news with all they came across because Joy must be SHARED, not kept to oneself. God is too Good to hide from the world!
