A day of rest is the best! Love doing nothing and having nothing planned! Sunday’s are my day of rest when I don’t work or plan anything if I can help it. I love just going with the flow and spending time with my son, Dylan. Today was no exception to the rule. We had an impromptu playdate with one of Dylan’s good friends at the park and I hung out with his friend’s lovely mum. Then, Dylan went to his friend’s house, so I was able to catch up with my bestie in LA. It’s so important to have these days of rest where you have nothing to do. I love doing nothing and to allow yourself to just be in the present moment and go with the flow. I’ve had quite a few knock downes this week. Failures in business, set backs with family, and battles with friends. It’s probably the first time in my life that I have sat back and really reflected on what that person or people are going through. Before 2018, I was the type of person who would ignore it, block it out or get angry and move on. I was reactive instead of being reflective. Now I see the true colours in people, their struggles and weaknesses their pain and happiness. I get to choose if I was to support them in their journey and open myself up to the pain or or slip by and continue on with mine. Life is an absolute mystery. I get to experience it all on my terms now and with that comes the bruises of what I have learnt along the way. I see those bruises as the scar for next time. And knowing I showed up the best way I can. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling scatterbrained and all over the shop. It could be the crazy weather we’ve been having in Sydney, which is throwing my Vata energy into a crazy imbalance or maybe I’m just trying ‘to do’ too much. A friend of mine has been wanting me to do this course which sounds amazing and I’d love to do it at some stage, but right now, I need to let go of some stuff to focus on my ‘whys’. I’m the type of person that likes to dabble in lots of different things and I have a hard time saying ‘no’. What I’ve realised is that when I have my eggs in too many baskets, I do a half assed job and I’m left feeling depleted, overwhelmed, all over the shop and ungrounded! I’ve been really focusing on my ‘whys’ and the things that are important to me and letting go of the things that aren’t really serving me or helping to achieve my goals. Its challenging to let go, especially since I think I can do everything and all at once, but in the end, I’ll have more time and freedom. Since, I’ve let go of a few projects, I have more space and I’m going ‘all in’ and taking my online business to the next level in 90 days! My poor baby is sick today and stayed home from school. I’m so grateful that I could be here for him and didn’t need to take off from work, since I work from home with my online business. I got some great value today from a live training with Mark Lack, who helps entrepreneurs with personal branding, sales and marketing. He’s a millionaire at 28 and he wrote a book, has been on shark tank and has many other credentials. Pretty amazing guy and with the online platform that I use for my online business, we get loads of trainings and value on a weekly basis. I’m super grateful! 🙏 My key takeaways were 1. Providing great content that provides value and getting it out there. Sharing with the world leveraging social media. Getting your name out there! 2.
