Do you think Mickey is coming back in season 8?
Oh, anonā¦ This is such a hard questionā¦In short, I really have no idea because I canāt decide if my logically thought out reason for his guaranteed return is still covered by my bias and my desire for him to come back, and I also completely recognize the possibility that he may not. What I do know is this:
1. Noel Fisher has said repeatedly that the ball is in the writers/producers court; that he is totally open to coming back.
2. Noel has told a couple of fans toĀ ājust keep watchingā and hinted that if prison walls arenāt going to keep Mickey away then neither is a border.
3. At one point, Sheila Callaghan said (though I no longer have concrete evidence of this unfortunately so this is kind of hearsay) that Mickeyās character isnāt dead.
4. The cast and writers all seem to genuinely love Mickeyās character (despite the deplorable treatment in season 6 and 7).
5. Iād estimate half of the fandom has threatened to stop watching after season 8 if Mickey doesnāt come back. Whether or not the producers heed that threat is debatable, but either way Iām sure they probably recognize that they need to somehow keep the Gallavich fans happy because they are definitely a majority of the Shameless fandom and weāve raised a pretty big stink about thisā¦
6. If they donāt bring Noel back by the end of season 8 (and I mean make it possible for him to come back full time because if they bring him in and write him off AGAIN it doesnāt count) there will be no season 9. I just can not see them getting renewed for another season and Iām not the only one that thinks this. As Iāve said before not bringing Noel back would be like TV suicide at this point.
These 6 things are keeping my hopes up for Mickeyās return, but I do still keep in mind the possibility that either the writers are being too stubborn or maybe even that Noel doesnāt actually want to come back (I find this highly unlikely, but yanno, shit happens).
Anon, I desperately HOPE he does for SO MANY REASONS! And Iāll maintain hope probably until mid November/December and if we still havenāt seen anything?? Then Iāll start to get worried.

The list of all the terrible things that Frank has done is endless. But there is only one thing I can think of that heās actually innocent of. And thatās what happened with Karen at the end of s1. He was out of his mind high and he was saying no.

I think thereās some confusion going on about the game. The person that originally messaged me Iām no longer working with, and I stated that before. I was picked up by another team who has a female lead. Several on the team are women and are part of the community. There are lesbians running the show. There are some agender people and then like, 2-3 guys? I donāt know exactly if I want to divulge everyoneās orientation or gender identities without their permission until they make an about on the official page yet though. It doesnāt really seem right for me to.
Donāt worry though, guys arenāt running the show. I did write some of the characters, but Iām mostly here to do the art, and all the concept and art has to be approved first. I may post sketches once in a while to get public thoughts at one point when we start hashing more things out, but my intentions are to just to help. This is a game is made in mind for women in the community. Women who are lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, or however you identify. Itās a game about finding romance with another woman or non-binary person you care about.
Our goal is to make a game with representation for the women in the community like Dream Daddy did. A game that was made by the community for the community that has a heartfelt story, humanity, and actually shows us as people and not sexual objects.

So tired of lesbians not being involved in things about lesbians, but a thing that's by the community and for the community and good hearted sounds... really good. Im sorry.

I promise you that this game is literally the opposite. These are relatable characters. I want to give examples but thatād be spoilers. ;_; And I donāt want to spoil! Iāll have to ask the lead what info Iām allowed to give out and what hints Iām allowed to drop but I know at least 2 other people on the team and they are in the same boat as you and me, and are tired of that. We arenāt going to let it happen with this.
Itās going to be a sfw game for starters, and I hope people will love the kids because some of the concepts right now are freaking adorable.
One hint I can give: depending on if the idea gets the green light, some of you may get to learn some sign language along the journey. :)
