He’d waited patiently for the pests to finally descended from the sky. Like gnats on a hot day, their presence was vexing. Timid though, they finally came with cautious eyes, and gentle feet. Admittedly not what he had expected. The other scouting parties that had come across his kin were similar in nature. One might even say respectful.

Worked to death and burnt out by overuse.” He stayed far back, this plant was dead in its terminal for not to long and the members of its crew had not to long ago abandoned the site. Screens were still up, glowing in the dim terminals, hot coffee was still on one operators desk.
