Yes, you're right, clearly they don't understand how shipping works or how Tumblr works, which is soo frustrating, so I prefer to ignore that and all they are saying about how wrong it is to ship Sam and Bucky because they are friends....like🤔🤔🤔???? That whole point doesn't make any sense to me. As you said... friends are shipped all the time and there is nothing wrong about it (as long as they are fictional characters lol) that's how a lot of romances start, canon or not.

But at the same time, I know what it's like to ship a couple involving a Black woman on Tumblr, and how frustrating it can be because most of the time ships involving Black women are always the least popular on here. And it's either hard to find content or people hating on the character for the whatever flimsy excuse they will think of that day.

I've been there with the Grey's Anatomy fandom, with Rosaline x Escalus in the Still Star Crossed, and let's not even talk about Community where Jeff is shipped with all the women except Shirley, also Mariah with Shades in Luke Cage, that's why I took the time to reply to them and give my thoughts about that too.
