Heroes for Hire Legends: Bushmaster
John McIver first appeared in 1977. Though his brother Quincy is a bit more well-known, as the member of the Serpent Society with the snake trunk, John is more well-known specifically as a Luke Cage villain, a Caribbean crime lord who underwent the same treatment as Luke to gain his power, proving to be an even better fighter with it than Luke, but ultimately ended up being vaporized, paving the way for said brother to take up the name.
In an adaptation, I would like to feature Quincy as part of the Suicide Squad, and fairly early on, and seeing as John was done pretty well by the Netflix series, I think it might be reasonable to mostly skip the character, or feature him in a smaller role somewhere, maybe referenced or fought in an early battle. As for casting, Mustafa Shakir could return if he wanted.

His Jamaican accent in Luke Cage as Bushmaster was so authentic people thought he was Jamaican, but he's from North Carolina.
