Sunny obviously would be in ravenclaw.

I know that many will argue with this opinion and try to assemble him into Slytherin–and while I do agree that he is sly enough to fit there–he most certainly lacks the ambition. Before meeting Nephis he barely cared about anything and lived mostly out of spite. Sunny is a determined little fella with many desires, but they all are quite undefined. He fights for freedom he is unable to describe. His definition of it constantly evolves, influenced by his experiences and knowledge. In many ways, Sunny's story is about learning how to live. About discovering what it truly means.

And one of the first traits that Sunny displayed, after letting himself to think about something more than survival, was curiosity. It quickly became obvious that he genuinely enjoys learning and is fascinated by the world that surrounds him. Some may argue that he does it out of need and I agree. He grows in power through closely examining abilities of others and searching for new creative ways to apply his own. Examining ruins allows him check for hidden dangers and possible treasures. But I sincerely believe that he also simply enjoys it. Sunny wants to understand the world, that's why he enjoyed his time with the professor so much, and opened his eyes in the tomb, maybe even why he reached for the key on the forgotten shore. Ravenclaw would be good for him.

Similarly I believe that Nephis would make a perfect Slytherin. I could imagine our current Nephis asking the hat to put her into a different, more likable, house for the sake of propaganda. But the same cannot be said about Nephis from the beginning of the story, the one that hasn't meet Sunny and couldn't learn from his "lies" yet.

She is DETERMINED to fulfil her goals, no matter how insane they might be. Nephis is more than ready to discard her own life for the sake of her wish. She is an unstoppable force focused on one target only. The price does not concern her as long as she will achieve the desired outcome. Not even death would be able to stop her. This goes beyond a simple ambition.

Moreover, Nephis is also notably clever. She is extremely talented in manipulating people. She understands the world of politics and learned to navigate it with grace. Nephis was capable of creating (although with Cassie's help) a perfect image for herself, that complements her personality and suits her goals. She is sly in her own way.
