P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

okay now you're just asking the REAL questions. i desperately want to write the lord of the rings ttrpg au where they're playing something like star trek or kids on bikes, but some are hopelessly terrible at roleplay, others favour violence over talking, and others still don't know how the hell ttrpgs work but they're present for the snacks, company, and frankly hilarious escapades they group can be counted on to get into.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

teyla, rodney, john, and ronon. for some reason, whenever someone asks me this, they pop into my head first. they were my TEAM. they loved each other so much and went to bat for each other again and again. they knew each others idiosyncrasies and wants and fears and loves. they lived together, would have died together, and i love them so very much.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

buck tops eddie more than eddie tops buck. jiang cheng and wei ying never reconcile properly post-novels (sorry, i know this is gonna upset at least two of you :D). zhongli is the strongest archon (this is just canon, but i'll call it "headcanon" because raiden fans exist). artoo detoo was the real hero of the star wars movies and if he'd time travelled, would have saved the galaxies from his foolish organics.

Peter has studied and trained and tested and sacrificed for this moment: this incredible, unbelievable moment where Peter arrives in an ancient alien city in a galaxy millions of light years from his own. 

It’s a powerful, emotional, life-changing moment—until Dr. McKay ruins it. 

Dr. McKay takes one look at him and makes a high, tea-kettle whistle of agitation. He turns a bright, furious red, and wheels towards Lt. Colonel Sheppard. 

“What the hell is the SGC playing at? Are we so hard up that we’ve been forced into child labour?” McKay squawks. 

Peter feels an indignant blush climb his face. 

“I’m twenty-nine,” Peter says defensively. He knows he’s got a bit of a baby face, but he is a fully grown adult. 

McKay only rolls his eyes. “Oh, never mind, John, he’s twenty-nine, my mistake, not to worry, he’s only just hit puberty.” 

“Now, now, McKay,” Sheppard soothes, and Peter would be grateful except there’s a sharp, mischievous glint in the colonel’s eye that says he’s enjoying this. “I’m sure Dr. Parker is going to be a real asset to the team in uh,” Sheppard glances down at his tablet, “...xeno-arachnology?” 

“What?” McKay snaps and snatches the tablet out of Sheppard’s hands. He makes the sharp rage whistle again. “You mean this teenager isn’t even useful? I asked for physicists and they sent me bug boys?” 

Peter takes a deep, centering breath.

“I’m an expert in arachnids,” Peter says through gritted teeth. “Specifically spiders. Given the fact that the Pegasus galaxy’s biggest threat is a species that evolved from a web-spinning vampiric bug, the SGC thought it might be useful to have me around to study it.” 

Sheppard’s mischievous glint has turned into something Peter hopes is approval. McKay only sputters. 

“See, Rodney,” Sheppard says and claps Peter on the shoulder. “Not a bug boy. A spider man.”

Taking the Long Way

In both Agents of SHEILD and Stargate: Atlantis, a character is forced to use a cryogenic freeze chamber to “take the long way” to the future when they are unable to time travel in a non-linear, faster way.

Leopoldo Fitz (AoS 5.05) says, “Gonna take the long way there. Gonna sleep for 74 years.” In SG:A (1.15) Dr. Elizabeth Weir waits through three sequential 3.3 thousand year cryosleeps to last 10,000 years waiting for her future self to arrive in her own past, which she had accidentally departed in a hasty evacuation of the sunken city of Atlantis.
