On This day San Francisco State students (GUPS, Students for Gaza, Faculty for Justice in Palestine) held a rally in Malcolm X Plaza, that convened at 12:15pm, to announce the beginning of their encampment for Palestine.
San Francisco State students were one of many student groups across the nation who encamped last spring to demand divestment from arms/weapons manufactures like Lockheed Martin who are facilitating the genocide of the Palestinian people.
San Francisco State students became the first in the country to host an open bargaining session with their university President and eventually gain divestment as a result of their encampment.
SF State has BEEN in the middle of a very rich and radical history. The students of this decade have defined their presence on this campus as one paying respect to and leading forward this radical history through the work for liberation.
And I love these students. I love this work. Forever and always until and beyond liberation I will love you !!!
